Didn't read the whole thread.
But no, N.body isn't better for rampage. And no, Osode isn't better than hauby for dual-wielders.

And NO you dont use Osode on ninjarz. (Outside gustaberg (read: on stuff that matters))

Askar miss your list Knight?

Blade: Jin is 30% DEX 30% STR

K.Osode 10 STR 10 DEX
Haubergeon+1 6 STR 6 DEX +12 ATT +12 ACC

I would say, it depends what you are using in your other slots. If you are using let's say, Optical Hat and Life Belt/Potent Belt (for unknown reasons. WHY!) to WS in for Blade: Jin, perhaps K.Osode would be better off. If you are using Shura Kabuto or Voyager's Sallet and Warwolf Belt (that most Ninja use), you'd be better off with Haubergeon or Haubergeon+1. There's no point to stack STR and DEX if you're going to miss all your hits. It needs to balance with your other gear.

I prefer using Haubergeon+1 because it gives more constant damage and many times high WS damage. I did use K.Osode for a while, but it gave lower averages and sometimes spike damage that was high, but rarely. The TP return most of the time for K.Osode was less because I missed a hit in the 3-hit-WS. I have 8/8 Katana, 3DEX and 2STR merits though, so that probably also affected my setup.

It's all situational in my opinion. You *could* get two Ninja with similar gear setups/merits and parse it for a more accurate answer though.

Why would you go 3 dex 2 str..?

just adding it

Ok curiosity killing me (mithra Imagen that) How can you say that a haub +1 would be better then a hecca +1 or for that matter regular hecca. Now for elven or galka I could see, But for a mithra or taru? Now I know dex is a mod on crit hit and rampage dmg is tied with it, but so is str. Now as a mithra we sit 6 dex above that of hume normally and -3 str. Taru sit with same dex as hume but -6 str of humes. Which would make str the bigger commodity.

base stats of war/nin at 75
race dex str
hume 69 72
taru 69 66
mithra 76 69
elve 66 77
galka 69 75

What in the fuck does race have to do with anything?

Also, lol@DEX merits, that shit is stupid no matter how you try to put it. STR only for melees.

It doesn't boost attack.
right this is true, but looking at most gear(now of course there are circumstances for everything) The normal war be wearring.

main: woodville/maneater/juggy
sub: maneater/juggy/ridill/joyeuse
range: bomb core/ bomblet
head: adaman celeta/ heca cap
neck: chiv chain/ temp torque
ear: brutal/fowler/triump
body: heca body/ haub (note I know adaman/askar/aries exist but for sake this debate leave them out)
hands: heca/af2 mitts/allky(would not recommend ouch -dex)
rings: snipers/rajas/flame/ruby/(taou ring)
back: amem +1/foragers/cerb+1
waist: potent/ war stone (if lucky)
legs: byakko/af2 pants/heca
feet: hecca feet/amir feet/adaman feet

Where am I going with this you ask depending of your setup the outcome of your gear may change. especially if you wearing a regular haub and do not have heca cap yet. Which a good % of people do not.

Race difference while small in most cases do make a difference. Like how a mithra will have harder time beating elven peek dmg, but will be more average. Also why would dex be such a bad thing for a elven it is the week point. You hear it all the time lol elve acc. What good is it to improve your max output if you miss it half the time. In same token what good is it to place on more attack if you are hitting your cap most of the time.

The problem is with how small of an impact race makes in the long run which is why meriting STR would remain better for a melee. The Dex difference isn't half your accuracy :/

What game are you playing? 3-10 dex differential (going off your numbers on the previous page), is not a huge deal, lol.

Your race has nothing to do with your gear/merits choices (Except in the case of RSE obviously)

If your race has an impact on your gear/merits consideration, you're doing it wrong.

Offhand joyeuse? God, you are such a dumbass. And if they can't afford a PCC and are forced to use chiv chain, I don't even think they have the gil to be trying to attain shit like haub +1.

What's with you and DEX? I bet you're one of those morons who levels THF on mithra and says they're the best because they have the highest DEX. Seriously, get real, it doesn't really help THAT much.

And the view point is still the same, Haub +1 > all.

1st off lol pcc at 75 for war if you need that much acc your doing it wrong. Secondly Your the one complaining about how the heca does not have the dex. For someone who fought tooth and nail about how 1 str make a difference (foragers/amem discussion.) I find this funny. 3rdly look up /joy on BG you will find that it works well on birds due to the piercing dmg.

Your stupidity appalls me.:nono:
Your calling someone lol for using a PCC for a Warrior? I almost thought you were joking.
Since we were on the subject of fighting colibri in a meritpo you need to know that colibri have high evasion, and since you were talking about off handing a joyeuse I would only assume you would be main handing an Axe, but knowing you who really knows. So that being said your WS of choice would be rampage. Now Hellstorm Rampage as you may not know is a 5 hit weapon skill, therefore you have a chance of missing a few of those 5 hits severely effecting the damage of the WS. Most WARs macro out there TP bulding gear which in most cases is accuracy gear [snipers rings, woodsmen, jaeger] and in place they have STR rings [or in some cases Rajas ring].

For this multi hit WS known as rampage you are loosing some ACC for STR [which happens to be a DMG modifier for rampage] Stack STR and loose ACC you will sacrifice a significant amount of DMG. So the 10 acc from the PCC is most beneficial since once again Rampage is a WS that highly depends on ACC.

The Chiv-Chain is a nice alternative for a PCC but not a replacement. Most players who are far more respected and accomplished than you have repeatedly told me that the PCC is better than the Chiv chain for most WS. I don't know what you use for Rampage, I don't even know if you use a Chiv-Chain.

Please before you respond, which I'm sure you will, save me time and do not mention the use of GA because I am talking about Axe here since the argument was about dual wielding axes.

-closing thought-

Stack all your STR you want, I don't care if you have 100+100 [obviously impossible] My rampages would still slaughter your rampages all day long.
