Connection Confusion

Hi all, I'm having a little trouble with my connection for some reason. Right now (which is what i'm always on) i'm on my desktop PC which is connected to the internet via wireless router. I can connect to everything that requires being online: Internet browser, FFXI, FPS games, etc, everything. Except for AIM and MSN. For some reason, each time I try to connect I get a "a server error occured" message.

I tried restarting the connection on the PC, restarting the PC, turning off both the router and cable box and turning them back on, but to no avail. Is there anything I'm missing?

Anyone else on your provider having the same issue?

I'd call your ISP. I'm not sure what protocol IM's use, but if everything else is working then it must be localized to that.

edit: I presume you have another computer, do they work on there?

edit2: try connecting your cable modem directly to your desktop before calling them, they'll likely ask you to do this anyways

I also can't connect on my laptop or on the PC downstairs (directly connected) Think its just AIM serverside?

AIM is timing out for me too. I'm on FFXI, Steam, Y!M, IRC, and (obviously) IE. All working fine.

Seems like it. Unlikely that both AIM and MSN would go down in the same window though, you have any buddies in the area with the same problem?

Seems to be working fine now, guess it was just serverside. Thanks though for the suggestions
