Connection issues, anyone else having them?

Ever since I got home, i've been experiencing very strange connectivity issues. I thought at first this was a problem on my end, because when I try to access any website online, it takes forever for anything to load. However after mentioning it in my LS, I had others tell me that they were experiencing very bad lag, R0 in various zones and it just seemed that everyone I knew was having connection issues.

Now i'm not even able to get back into the game, because it keeps telling me that the network is busy. When I first disconnected however, I got the following error:

Error code: POL-0033
Connection refused by server. Some servers may be out of service or congested. Please check your connection environment if nothing improves even after trying again later.

At this point I want to say it might be my ISP, but it also seems that SE is having issues for other players.

Does anyone else happen to know what might be up? Btw, i'm a Shaw user... so if anyone in BC happens to be experiencing connectivity issues please let me know, cuz i'll be calling their customer support as soon as my cell minutes don't count.

I've been dcing alot more than usual lately in TAU zones if that counts for anything. I also had an entire party repeatedly disconnect one~two members at a time for a while before giving up yesterday.

LS friend of mine just experienced the exact same thing, and is from the US (i'm in Canada) and was able to get online pretty much the exact same time as me.

I don't really comprehend how the internet works, but i'm assuming there is a problem that is more then just my general area or ISP.

I've been getting it in Jeuno, Dunes, Sandy, and La theine always R 0, then come back. I placed a call with the GM to ask about it and before they got to me I got d/c. Was pling a friend, to. =/

DC'd 3 times in 1hour or so while partying and only got 1 merit. I gave up the 3rd time. Hope tomorrow my connection clears up.

I was having a lil trouble yest evening but I just restarted all my shit and it fixed itself.

I was getting r0s in jeuno and whitegate and yhotor jungle

This morning I logged in and my connection in FFXI as well as just my internet connection in general seemed to be fine. Looks like whatever the problem was, its fixed itself.

Well, I have a problem, I use windower, when I log in it says I have an update, I do that, stop at 15-16% and my computer locks up...

I have the same problem, Just use the normal Ffxi shortcut and update the normal way

I'm also a Ps2 User and last night I almost had to give up on a KSNM run because I wouldn't stop dcing, for an hr straight. So what I did was, disconnected my router, my computer's ethernet cable and just took the ethernet straight from the wall to the surfboard to the Ps2. No extra cables to take up bandwith and no router, it actually worked after that I never dc'd again the whole night. I'll see how it goes today after work with my router back on.

Yeah, occasionally (including almost empty zoned) my R drops to 0 for a short time. Its happening to a lot of people in the LS =/
