Well, recently I've been having this problem. I'll give you the background first.

I have a cable connection, advertised at about 2000kbps/256kbps. Recently, I've been noticing a MAJOR slowdown in the loading of web pages, and my D and R in FFXI has dropped dramatically. (takes literally like 10 seconds to load the search function). This might or might not be linked to my recent download of a bunch of Windows Updates... but I've only started noticing it after that.

Also, I have done -complete- Virus/Spyware/AdWare scans, with the following programs:
-Ad-Aware SE
-CWShredder
-SpyBot S&D
-Trend Micro PC-cillin.

What boggles me is that the other computer I'm networked to is running at full speed. Also, when I do a ping check:
Code:
Pinging google.com [216.239.37.99] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 216.239.37.99: bytes=32 time=67ms TTL=240
Reply from 216.239.37.99: bytes=32 time=61ms TTL=240
Reply from 216.239.37.99: bytes=32 time=56ms TTL=240
Reply from 216.239.37.99: bytes=32 time=60ms TTL=240

Ping statistics for 216.239.37.99:
    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
    Minimum = 56ms, Maximum = 67ms, Average = 61ms

As you can see my ping is still very low. It seems like the major problem is connecting. My browser will say "Looking up <insertpagehere>.com - Connecting to <insertpagehere>.com" for about 30 seconds, when it used to only take like 2 seconds for the page to load, max.

Can you describe your network setup? Also run ipconfig on each computer make sure your settings are the same (excluding IP Address).

Hmm... When I do Run -> cmd -> ipconfig

An error has occurred: Incorrect function.
