I just spent two entire days in the damn Valkurm Dunes trying to level RDM to 20 so I can get the hell out of the world's biggest sandtrap. I've made a grand total of 3.5 levels because every party has had at least 2 people who keep going AFK to cook meals, feed their kids, let the dog out, answer phones, pick up their kids, run to the store, complete assignments or homework etc.

Please don't get me wrong....I understand real life gets in the way sometimes but if your going to log on and accept a party invite you need to actually have the intention of partying at some point!

A fairly generalized complaint and not up to the normal drama standards but I needed to vent. Thank you.

yeah this stuff still keeps happening to me at level 30. In fact, i was in a pt for 2 hours and fought 0 mobs. 0.

Ouch >< I've been guilty of the walking the dog thing >.> but when she has to go she has to go (Of course I've apologized and /Bow ed to the pt for giving me a sec) As far as cooking dinner, well, dinner is somethnng that you kinda know is coming up. The phone ringing can definitly wait, if it's important they'll leave a message. Homework... lol never heard that one before XD

have gil sellers PL you, you little faggot. Can't cry about shit when you harbor people who fuck up the game.

I once had a RDM who went to feed her son in the middle of a BCNM fight (Royal Jelly). And it was my orb, she didnt even apologize after we got defeated.

Thanks for putting in that party today you little shit.

I got 0 exp, but I told you I was afk anyway lol.

Please tell me the name of this rdm if you remember. I would love to have her on my black list.

Honestly, I don't mind if it's something that's only going to take a few moments and is something unforseeable, (I know my mother has a radar to call when I'm playing) but.... "Ima go afk brb" with no warning and gone for a half hour... >.> Time for the boot, I say.

Prince you tool....I invited you because you needed a party, I had no idea the level gap was as bad as it was, I thought leaving would give you better XP.

As for you Meeze....you have once again proven yourself to be an asshat of the lowest sort....your post is pointless as is your very existance. Why don't you do everyone a favour and spend a little more time playing and alot less time bitching and moaning at me because you feel threatened by other people's apparent success. You are the weakest link lol.

People going afk in parties. Yeah its pretty annoying. I noticed it happening alot in the last few I have joined. Most people are back quickly but it really adds up you know. I am going to be honest...when i go afk I go and don't tell anyone..and I come abck before anyone notices, unless of course they suddenly need a refresh and I am not hitting it and they see me just kneeling...then they are like "Is the RDM afk" and about 30 seconds later tops, basically on the next mob I am like "Im here sorry". Really I don't go afk for so long usually, and if I do go afk it is still possible for the pt to function of the 2nd half of a fight after everyone is refreshed, hasted, and the mob is totally debuffed. Also I ma sure they can pull without me and generally by the time it gets bak to the camp I am back to my computer.

My point...if your going afk you don't have to go for like 30 minutes at a time, I leave for 30 seconds, you can too. So stop wasting my time and do everything you need to do before or after the pt(or during if you can do it in 30 seconds or less).

I have to say I hate it too. I've got a kind of "ten minutes and kick" policy unles there's some extenuating circimstance. But it's annoying as hell, especially if you're in some hard to get to spot.

I think a lot of the japanese keep track of that kind of thing and share the info with others. I've had fellow NAs in parties leave early or take long breaks, and the same people or different japanese will invite me the next day, but not the other person. And when I ask, they say "so and so said they left early or without warning or ... etc."

Then again, every so often you get those parties where everything clicks. The people get along with each other well, work well together and skillchain and burst well, everyone's enthusiastic and everyone has the same goal... xp is the priority. The xp is soo good and quick that people will put other things off as long as they can just because they're part of a good thing.

They're that much sweeter because of other, more negative experiences. ^^

All the best,
Fire

Your so right FB...some parties just keep going like the Energizer Bunny and your sad when they end. My problem was just with people who come on the game knowing they have real-life responsibilities to deal with and try and do them while the rest of the party is trying to scrape some XP together.

Its not just going AFK during xp though. When you take a half hour or more to get together and get settled in camp it is extremely rude to leave like an hour after we get there. And another thing I noticed, its usually the RDM that has to leave. Just this week like 4/5 xp pts i have been in the rdm just left all of a sudden like an hour or so into pt. Its like all the red mages got together this week and were like "lets pretend we are back in the dunes again" or some other such bullshit. This is especially annoying if people have used 3 hr food/xp rings running.

zomg! You're on to us! Last Sunday, all Quetzy RDMs had a pow-wow where we all decided to screw up your parties... I can't believe you figured it out! :shok:

Muwahahahaha.... :spiteful:

dammit why wasnt i in on that one? i have rdm too!

We tried to get in touch with you... We planned to have you head the "Raid Prothall's Moghouse" operation...
I can't believe you would miss out on this stuff...

I think the worst is when you Get the party it takes 30 minutes to get the
party toghter, 30 minutes to get to camp... and then 1 hour later you have
to go because it will take you another 30 minutes to get to town unload your crap, check your AH for things that sold, and go to bed.. thats 2.5 hours for 1 hour of XP.

I personaly can only take 3 hours of gaming at a time and have to take a break. A lot of people get mad because I am RDM and they ask me

Party Do you need it?

.. Then i give them the 20 questions..

Full party?
Am i main healer?
where is camp?

all the question that help me figure out will this party last.....

Then i go checking the leader

/sea all "insert retard name here"

And the spot , that he said we would go lvl, A lot of times after all this work i get a great party hold out for 3 hours and ask for a 10 minutes (let me get a soda grab a sandwitch and use the bathrrom break)

By then they normally are ready for a break them selfs.

I think to make a good party you shoudl check things out first..

CAMP
TNLS

Ask them how long they got, do they plan to stay... things like that.

Whats even worse, however, is when you get into a party, get one to two fights in, and then people decide that they have to leave, as soon as you got there. I understand that some people have been in the party for a while, and are decidedly sick of being online, and have real life things to do, but how about letting someone know something about it! Or at least do your best to find a replacement for yourself, and give everyone in the party ample time to prepare. Its not cool to pull a pugil and have your whm and blm /logout right after the war pulls it! >.> I always find a replacement to come in my stead, if I have to leave for any reason. And sometimes that does take a while. But I have the common decency to do so.
