just thought id make it known to some of my old friends im relaly thinking of coming back. just moved, go married, got a job so im pretty busy. i just been really wanting to play lately.

when i used to play, i quit cuz i played so effin much, but this time around, i just want to have it to play when i have nothing else to do:p just to go party and wot not. screw around. and finish my goal of all jobs 75.... shit.... lol>.>


i feel like a nub but i forgot some stuff... how do i make sure i get on Quetz? do i get someone to get me a world pass or something? or how does that work..?


and i guess ima get a 360... do they sell the ffxi games for 360 in electronic stores like best buy and shit? or should i just try and buy online?


i know i sound noobish... just checking... but yea im excited to be able to hop on and have some fun. wont be on nonstop like i used to but just having it should be fun:)


look forward to seeing u guys again, and anyone have suggestions on what i should do?

You can pick the server you join when you create a new character now.
 
to get going... all i have to do is put the cds in the 360... download... set up payment and internet connection and im good to go right? i remember on my old ps2, we had to set up a bunch a shit and stuff...
 
Hey hey Honcho, welcome back.

You should be able to pick up the 360 versino at best buy or other electronic stores. Also the setup is: Insert disc, start install, drink beer for 3+ hours, finish setting payment info, and then go /poke someone lol

hey man:) do i need to ask for a specific 360 version that you play ffxi on? or are all 360s ok to use? i know it runs off the hard drive in the 360s but wasnt sure if any 360 would be fine... nice to hear from ya man. rdy to /poke:P

any 360, just ensure you have a big hard drive, but you need that anyway. Yeah stick in the shiney flat thing, wait the 3+ hrs.. enter in your personal shyte.. and you're good just like Shmedly said :)

Only thing that makes a difference is which hard drive you use. I have the 20gig hard drive which is actually only 13 after Microsoft takes 7 gig for update things. After you install FFXI you only have about 3-5 left(iirc). If you plan on playing a lot of other games I would either buy a seperate 20 gig for FFXI or get one of the larger ones. Currently on mine I only have about 1 gig left for anything and that only takes 1-2 sets of maps for a FPS.

little off topic, but have you deleted all the crap that comes on the hardrive when you buy it? I went through and deleted all the stupid songs/themes/promo crap that came pre-installed, and that saved me almost a gig of space. I only use the 20gig drive as well.
 
ok i got a new idea.... since im just gonna be playing ffxi and no ther games, i was thinking of just getting ps2 since its cheaper lol.... what all do i need to play on ps2?

-ps2
- hard drive
- network adapter
- the actual game cds to download

and if i get that 4 pack thing... is that all i need? or do i still need to buy like the original ffxi too?

Yeah... I did... LOL. I have some music videos and other stuff on there as well. No music, no themes, and I'm almost out of space.

haha...wahaha...HAHAHAHAHA.... if I catch you levelling BST and you're like the previous 10-15 BSTs I've seen I'm gonna be upset. (Level Range 50-65 where I've been working on my current job sub BST)




Don't get PS2 for FFXI, isn't the game/hardware difficult to find nowadays? (Unless you do it online). Stick with PC and buy the 4 pack thing, it should usually come with the original (it's called Vanadiel Collection 2008? or 2009, whatever)

If you want, I have 2 ps2's with all the hardware and almost fully updated (Could update it for ya) pay shipping and maybe slip me like 100 or whatever(Im not greedy, so whatever you can spare) and ill ship it to ya with all cords and 1 controller.

I need some extra cash anyways so shameless plug lol.

just a quick question tho... i bought an adapater and hard drive... would i need like an installation dvd for the hard drive too? cuz i dont have one of those... anyone know?
