I wanna post a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE thaks to Mr. Rones for setting up this run for me, after I spent a bit over a month randomly asking people I know for help. We got three Morgensterns and two Morbolger Vines, as well as two...of..those katanas, and a Thyrussis(sp?)

I wasn't able to get any screenshots, folder's somehow full ;-; But the KS was fun, incredibly easy despite the horror stories people speak of it (NIN/MNK/MNK/BRD/RDM/WHM all but stomped it, longest run was 5:37 or so)

*edit* And for anyone's general interest, it breathes in 3 times then does "Extremely Bad Breath", but roughly 3sec after it's 3rd breathe-in. If you run when you see the third breathe-in, it hits no one, and it hasto breathe in three more times do it again (there's lies on some forums saying he does it nonstop til it hits someone...not true at all). Biggest threat of this guy is if someone gets hit with sleep or the Bind WS lands on the tank, and even then only if he does it right before his 3'rd breathe-in.

Glad I could be of help. Too bad my brd was utterly worthless in this bcnm, but hindsight is always 20/20. For anyone else attempting this it is a very easy bcnm. You just need a rdm for bind and gravity (can't outrun him safely without gravity) and a blink tank. Fill out the other 4 slots with DD who can preferably sub nin. His hits cause weight which mean you won't be able to outrun the aoe death attack. We had a 2 out of 6 drop on the Morbolger Vines, so nice alternative for mnks wanting their brown belt.
 
unless you guys did this with valoran I might be trying to merc this tonight. Do you think 5x smn could crush this with standard smn, bp, run away resummon tactics?
 
Frankly, 5 SMN would be absolute overkill. This could probably be duo'd if you brought a Yag Drink.

All the same though, I'd be willing to go again if you guys still have room.
 
3 smns maybe. 3 smns with 1 refresher definitly or 4+ smn. The key is just to stay out of range and wear him down. Let the pets eat the aoe death attack and have another pet ready to hop in right away. I'll make a detailed thread in the strategy section if anyone needs it. This fight can be very easy if you are oranized.
