Contemplating salvage.

Ok I am contemplating doing some salvage but not sure where to start.

Anyone have a link or something that has a wealth of information about the event. IE like what each zone drops, what each piece of salvage gear requires to get, General strats etc. I am having trouble finding anything on it suprisingly, but that could be due to me being at work.

Stash 15mil on the side before doing anything. Or prepare to farm.

Also, prepare to maintain normal assaults for points.
 
Wiki gives basic informations, but the must are probably the BG salvage threads, with hundreds of pages of info. yes read them all.
 
First thing is to get a core group of 6+ that can do it every time (or almost) you run, with the correct jobs, and that are good at it. That's 90% of the requirements really. The last 10% are reading BG.
 
unless you are ready to really commit to it, it is really not worth doing. My group goes twice a week and the drop rates are soo horrible that most of us hardly want to go anymore. Most of the people that you see that are successful with it go 4-6 days a week
 
2x week is not a lot. SE made salvag like assault, something to everyday.

2-3 times a week been ok for me(and really all I have time for) just got to be patient.

Or you can run with people who know what they are doing :)

I got my info off of wiki mainly, but I've been lucky enough to have a good salvage group. And as was mentioned above, you need 1500 Assault Points per run, so be prepared to spam assaults (with your jobs I'm guessing PFC Mamool Ja would be best, it's like a mini merit party).

2 times a week isnt too bad, if you have other end game things to occupy your time. I'm farming to get the last 7 ingots I need for Morrigan's Coronal, which will put me at 4 completed pieces (3 morrigans, 1 marduk), and I am 12/15 on tier. I am coming close to 2 years doing it. If you enjoy it like I do, it's not bad. But he is right, if you don't like it, like how I feel about Limbus, it may not be worth it.
 
Limbus is worth than salvae for me... 2 piece in 2 years...
