OKay guys, i was doing some research, and if you were a level 100 Cooking master, what would u make that SELLS WELL and is POPULAR! Also, being space effiecent, it has to stack... so this is what i came up with so far...

(stacks) (non-stacks)
Squid Sushi Crimson Jelly
Sole Sushi HedgeHog Pie
Melon Pie Yellow Curry
Rolanberry Pie Red curry
Tavnazian tacos Bison Steak
Meat Cheifkabob

I'm only level 32, so i'm sure theres more i missed, but please if u know anything eles that sells well that a level 100 cook master can make, plz post! Or just give your 2 gil on this! thanks!

No ones going to tell you, crafters like to keep thier money makers secret.

(Craft and sell food. K? 1mil for my advice, expect it in my MH tomorrow. ;) )

Why would a crafter tell you how to take profit away from them?

Trial and Error is the best way to figure out your profits...

Not to mention the price on food is pretty fluctuant.

I've come up with great ideas to mass produce an item only to find the next morning the item's price has been killed on the AH.

How you acquire ingredients is also another determinant...

Its got to be a trade off for how fast it sells and how much profit you make of it.

No specifics details from me though :P

In all honesty, ask your LS what foods they use, and do orders for your LS at slightly cheaper prices to work out whats best, you will make some profit, some skillups, some reputation and some experiance in salesmanship.

Moriki is right. Just pay attention to what your friends say they use and what you see people using in parties. Zylia is right in that you'll be cursing underbidders at least every other day, especially if you find some nice neglected recipe and other people take notice after a day or two. But no one is going to give you specifics. Cooks can be friendly with one another, like people in any other craft, but at the end of the day you're still the competition and handled accordingly.

my g/f profits off yag drinks and sells them waaaaayyyy cheaper than ah.. she muls in lower jeuno.. her name is pepsii ;)

what melee doesnt use sushi? sushi is where the gil is at.

Dragoons have better acc. than other melee jobs, I'm only 46 but I've stuck with mithkabobs and it's worked great for me.

Crafting for profit is sketchy. In my experience, you live and die by the HQ. Not to mention, nothing pwns quite as hard as when you put a few things that people use on AH at a high price based on the history, go to sleep, then see the next day that some fuck named Qhgf or some shit has undercut you and flooded . Mmmmmm, nothing tastes better than a nice 100% loss on AH fees. weeeeee

Crimson Jelly is a big seller. There's usually few on AH, but usually people buy one at a time. Me personally, I don't waste Jellies on a pickup party, but I'll buy two for a LS party. Sushi seems, to me, like a great place to get undercut and fucked in the ass. Usually happens when you risk it all on a popular consumable. I'd say if you can't HQ it, don't waste your time. Actually, if you can't HQ at least 50% of the time, you'll find that after listing fees, your really just spinning your wheels.

hehe, funny Rappa :D

I am shocked though. That so many melee look to sushi so much even at low levels where it does crap for them compared to oh.. say.. Rice Dumplings :P (<3 those Dumplings). I really only think the only melee that has TRUE accuracy troubles at end game is DRK and even then.. I've not noticed too much of a problem. Would not STR and ATK+ be better than STR and Accuracy? (which is only a percentage anyways of like 18% or something and, not to mention, rice dumplings have accuracy+ on them as well or so I'm told).

I do believe that DRG and RNG are the only ones that actually get accuracy bonus traits from their jobs of the melee type :D people so doubt DRG's power but a DRG can be quite efficient especially with the new update to the wyvern ^^ that'll seriously help total damage.

qft.

The caps on the actual accuracy bonus on sushi is junk. It barely a drop in the bucket compared to accuracy from your weapon skill level, not to mention additions from gear and dex.

You can't take a parsed accuracy average of 60%, and say "A 20% accuracy sushi will give me 80%!" No, it doesn't work like that. It only gives you 20% of your accuracy. Not +20% to your over all to-hit rate. At best, you'll be hitting for 72% after that, and thats assuming you make full use on the cap of the food(as in, it doesn't fall short of your needs)

Only time sushi is entirely helpful, is if you're using a weapon your job has crap skill in, or skilling something else up.

I wouldn't say they have accuracy troubles at all. It's just that misses hurt more, when you're taking twice as long as anyone else to attack.
