Please uderstand this is not a cooking guide per say (0-2 Carrot Broth blah...blah...) This guide has skill cap, where to buy the ingredients (AH or NPC), average cost of ingredients, effect, GP, and many others.

i like...but the one thing i don't like is that is only has skill cap lvls...not what lvls you can start at
 
This is just me, but I can usually start a new recipe around 4-5 levels before it caps. I can't remember if I ever tried anymore than that.
 
Depending on the price of the ingredients, I will usually keep it to 6 levels. When I was making jugs, I went at high as 8 levels. Water crystals and sardines were practically falling out of my pockets. :lol:
 
Hm, with advanced support I was pretty much always 8-9 levels before the cap. It depends on how much the ingredients cost, and how much you can make back on a success - if it's a money pit even when you succeed, I start early and get as much skillups as possible; if it's something I can break even or profit on, I wait a little bit to start so I don't break too often.

There's too many variables to easily decide when you should start skilling on a synth (how much it costs per synth, how much you make back from successes, whether you've got synth support, if you've got the +cooking gear, etc).
 
Other helpful Cooking tips

I still use Allakhazam and it's boards to do cooking stuff. But for guild points, I turn to this site: Titanictus.Com. It gives you the daily guild item for all guilds and even a breakdown where to get stuff and how many you need to max your points. Good Stufff! :D
