I want to thank my static for such a great adventure! It was really fun. Many victories, many defeats, and we managed to beat CoP in 1 month 15 days ! I'm happy I met you all, thanks: Astyanax, Darlene, Kyrial, Nyosan, Miisha and Kitty chief Windy who let us join this adventure! Also wanna thank Geneviene and Apoc, for being with us at the start of the static, sad we saw you go. Thanks to Dragon Ryder, Rappa and Sumer for helping out with some of the missions as well! ^^

I'm kinda sad too because this adventure has come to an end, but we'll still do things together, like ZM17 and stuff, and I'll be glad to stick together with you all ^^ Thanks for sticking together till the end.

I have a problem and that is, I still don't know what ring to choose >.> I always wanted rajas since I joined the static but now that I'm planning on leveling smn, the tamas ring would come in handy for the -enmity and mp hehe ^^; So yeah... gotta think about it all night >.>

It was a really good story :3 I fell in love with the characters, it was really worth it^^ I feel like I wanna do CoP all over again lol >.>

Rajas ring is all good, and so is Tamas. What it boils down to is: what are you going to use the most?

Neither of the two rings are that much better than the second best to warrant getting a ring you'll never use.

Sure, getting Tamas then leveling a melee is going to suck a little bit, but honestly, are flame rings that much worse?

Rajas if you plan on levelling SAM as its an easy way to get a 6 hit build, Tamas if the remainder of your jobs are mages, Sattva if you play mainly tank jobs.

Seems like for every exclusive equip (well, this and DM anyway) the choice comes down to whether you want to be better at your current job, or if you have a greater than 0% chance of ever levelling ninja some day. I had that choice on DM and picked Abyssal, and I'm going to have that choice again soon, as my COP static is on Prommie Vazhl now, and I intend to pick Tamas. Ninja just might be the only job worth using for everything XI has to offer, and more, but I'm gonna be a Blm first. My advice is to gear up for your favorite job, and not for everyone else's favorite job (if the two differ).

Go with Rajas like me and Windy. Tamas can be replaced by MP rings (Astral/Ether/Serket/Vilma's/whatever) and you don't need the INT, MND, or enmity- for SMN. Even if you leveled a job like, say, RDM, you never ever need INT and MND at the same time; you can just swap in INT when you need it and MND when you need that. There is no replacement for Rajas. :3

Exactly what Kyrial said. Every swing you make with Rajas uses the full potential of the ring. DEX for added accuracy, STR for damage increase, Store TP for increased TP return (I always get 5% TP on THF, 4.X% without), and subtle blow for lower TP given to mobs. While the Tamas ring is great, you mainly just use one stat for each spell. The -enm is also nice, but once you get passed a certain level, -enm is abundant enough to compensate with alternative gear. The only thing is the +MP for no HP loss which is nice, but if you really want, you can switch out MP rings after consuming the MP. Sattva ring is also a great choice, but those are used almost exclusively by PLDs and some NINs (most NIN get Rajas tho) so unless you plan on being either quite often, it is probably not the best choice.

However, don't let that sway your choice, it also comes down to inventory space and jobs which will get the most use out of it. If you play mainly mage jobs, I'd go for Tamas and Rajas for mostly melee jobs. Some look at it as an inventory issue. Compare which rings can be substituted to get similar stars and figure out the total prices or which will be less inventory consumptive. It's a very difficult choice and most people need to take some time to think it over. I made the choice to get Rajas, but every now and again while playing WHM and BLM, I wonder if I made the wrong choice. When I play WAR and THF, I know I didn't. So even if you make the best choice, there is always a little part of you that wishes you had chosen differently.
