So here is my drama post of a bit of my real life.

Dated a girl since Oct. '05- Nov. '07 was good times a lot more bad. Went through a lot, was each others first sex partners (which resulted in a pregnancy that ended up becoming a miss-carriage). Did the stupid thing for high school kids to do and got engaged so early in life..It was one of those relationships where there would be a break up every so often for pointless reasons such as little fights and just to be a pain in my ass.

Now, it's actually over I tried everything I could to keep it together but every time we figured out what was wrong with us something new would arise and now we're done giving each other chances. I want to move on, not go find another girl or anything might be nice but don't want to put someone in the "rebound" position because thats not cool..

So I come to QCDN and ask your advice to either A. Salvage whats left of the relationship (possibly a last try) or B. Watch as she moves on ( & probably go fucks some other guy to piss me off) and C. How does one personally move on I can't figure it out yet..

Advice appreciated~

D.) Go Preacher's Wife style and throw all her shit in a car and burn it.

In all seriousness, best bet is to try to move on and not try to salvage. At this point, it seems you have put forth all your effort to try and stay together, but sometimes it just isn't right in the end. The only way I have found to get over a girl is for a guys night out, whether it be just hanging out drinking, going to a ballgame, or just doing random shit to keep my mind from drifting back to yesteryear. It may be tough at first, but it is possible. The more you linger on lost love, the longer you will hurt.

After my sister ended things with her x-boyfriend faggot of a want to be guido from Rhode Island, she just started to have fun. Don't go looking for a relationship, just hang out with friends, meet some girls. Let the game come to you.

Lan is right,
Just go have a guys night out. Drink, smoke, whatever you do. Try the whole night to not think of her and just go fuck up some mailboxes or what ever you kids do now-a-days.

Think that was Waiting to Exhale...

On a related note~ I'd say go for fixing the relationship if this is what you both really want. Otherwise, time heals all wounds. You'll bounce back quicker than you think. You can try distracting yourself in the mean time by going out with friends or some new hobby, but don't throw yourself into any relationships right now.

Good luck and hope it works out =)

Shit, you are right lol Wrong movie

Good advice so far.

Go out, have fun, kick back. After a relationship like that its best to take it easy. You'll only get yourself in awkward situations if you try to force yourself to find something else. Let your next interest find you.

And as far as getting over it. Don't dwell. Keep your mind busy, and don't worry about the past.

Stay busy bud. Dont even talk to her, I know you guys have probably been connected at the hip for almost 2 years and it will be hard to let go, but watching her every move will just make it that much worse. Jealousy is a bitch, so try to ignore anything relating to her and go enjoy the freedom of being single. Go to parties and hit on girls, get shitfaced and pass out on your friends counter, do whatever, just dont go looking for her at parties because odds are she will be messing around with another guy just to piss you off.

And hell, if that happens, go Westyle on her ass (if your read that post). Fuck some girl and you will probably feel a bit better knowing there is better pussy out there.

This is all pretty much solid advice, move the fuck on.
How do you do this? I find not caring helps, just stop giving a shit. When you don't care for anyone and no one cares for you it makes life alot easier. Now I'm not saying to stop caring about everyTHING, just, everyone.

I gave similiar advice today to someone else but for a completely different situation, kinda ironic.

Counters and pool tables always understand. Don't forget that.

Don't think about her, don't talk about her so much, don't look around for her, don't talk to her at all.
I guess women have it easy? If we go through a break-up we can just cry our eyes out, eat a gallon of ice cream, or drink and smoke with our friends lol.

Go out there, and have fun with your friends. Rather than staying gloomy and blue, try to keep your mind busy with having fun.
Eventually, you'll forget about her.

faggot of a want to be guido

Ahahahahaha, god I hate these asshats. If everyone of these douchenozzles died in a collective fiery crash, my life would be complete.

Chicks dig it when you act like they don't matter to you. Girls like to believe they are "rehabilitating you emotionally" through the course of a relationship. Although they would never admit it, it's the god honest truth in my experience. (There are exceptions to every rule, and gamer girls generally fall under this exception, if you haven't noticed...) The best thing, like everyone else said, is let things with her go. At best, she'll realize what shes missing and come back on her own terms, or at worst, you'll have an easier time getting over her if you forget her.

So the point is, don't chase the girl. I don't think anybody hates anything more than the "ex" that won't leave you the hell alone, and nobody likes a whiner either. Not saying you are either, because getting stuff off your chest is always a good thing. Just... don't be "that guy"...

Also, am I the only one that thinks "Love" and "Highschool" have no business being in the same sentence?

Take Dimmon's 5 top dating tips (GOGO Fast Times)
1.) Never let a girl know how into them you are. "Oh Jane, hi *head nod*"
2.) Always call all the shots "Kiss me, you won't regret it"
3.) Act whereever you are, its the place to be. "Isn't this great?"
4.) When your at dinner, find out what she wants first and order it for her. "The lady will have the linquine(sp) and white clam sauce, and a coke with no ice"
5.) Now, when it comes to making out, whenever possible, but on side b of led zeplin 4"

what everyone here said plus:
don't call her 2 years later just to see if "she's all right". opens up problems later on. :p

was there abridged time between you two breaking up and still you having trouble moving on? (I dont mean like just a week or so...)

If so I wouldn't worry too much about it, not everything just beats a path to your door; just take the rest of life easy as you have been, it'll come(a better girl or at least getting over).

We expect things when we want it but most of the time it just doesn't fall out of the sky=3
