Basically, the coprolite's (fossilized poo) found prove humans to be in North American 1000 years before people thought they were here. The coprolite's also show small traces of DNA that are similar to Native Americans and people from Asia, helping the theory that people came to North America from the Bering Strait.

I think it's interesting, but then again I'm an anthropologist and we were just talking about coprolite's in my archeology class. XD

Pretty interesting stuff.

Not to mention it really makes me want to poop in some obscure place so someone will find my coprolite somewhere down the line. ;D

Oh, I should translate the article from my science magazine about this from 2 months back.

Well, I would, but its 5 pages long, and I don't feel like translating that much ~.~ Perhaps I can translate some pieces of it when I get home. There's actually more then just feces found to provide some insight as to when humans really came to North America, including statues of fat babies dated back before the indians, and various other things. As was said in the article, they look more similar to Asians then indians.

Those statues or figurines are actually called Venus figurines and can be dated back to a time and culture before Homo sapiens, possibly Homo heidelbergensis or Homo neanderthalensis. But I would love to read it or get a basic outline of the article if you would translate it for me. ^_^

Naw, these one looks like fat children, not women, and weren't between 4 to 25 cm in height. These were, mostly, only a large stone face, weighting several tons.

Oh ok, I get it now. That would be really cool to read about.
