Do any of you hl system builders use this type of memory. Doesn't matter of speed or generation, just the XMS set.
I need a few questions answered about speed / CAS verification on these chips.
Corsair's explanation on their CL2 sets equate to "We set them as CL3 for compatibility so you'll have to manually set them at CL2" which I think is complete bullshit. They're just using slower chips, slapping heat sinks on them and marketing at faster speeds, telling you to OC them. There isn't any other Memory Company out there that sets their SPDs to a slower value then tells you to manually "up" them, in the name of -compatibility-....
So if you're using any type of XMS memory please run a memory test and make sure they're running at the lower latencies you paid for. I am very interested in your results.
