I was the Samurai in the OP's post. A few words regarding Corvic.
His Blue Mage subjob was not even properly leveled. (DRK49/BLU20, if I recall correctly.) Amusingly, he felt spamming Bludgeon for 12 damage and nuking Water II for 30 damage was his prime contribution to the group. He frequently lost all of his TP to kneeling for MP after every fight, but when he did use it, he'd miss anyway.
Honestly, being an asshole, I would have kicked him once I realized he seriously wanted to use a Blue Mage sub. But he didn't bother to let us know he was going to sub it until he showed up at Garliage, and Beka (the party leader) didn't want to wait on him even longer. He said the only job he could sub that would be properly leveled was Monk.
After the Thief and Corvic left, however, we moved to Quicksand Caves with the JP Warrior and added another Samurai (Acute) and a Warrior (Tagrineth) and did fairly well until we decided to break for the night.
To sum up, however, Corvic is perhaps the worst Dark Knight playing, and makes zero effort to improve or be advised by others.
