I like crafting. A lot. I've spent the last few days crafting, and I'm planning on taking many crafts to level 60. After reading on the Good Times board that Flipmixer hit level 100 cooking (gratz by the way!), I started to wonder which craft to take to 100. The highest I have right now is 30 clothcraft, and I should be 34 tomorrow provided my stuff sells (any ninjas that need shinobi-tabi for Tonko let me know, I've got a ton, and I can give you some kind of discount). I'm not sure which is the most profitable at that level, but I hear alchemy is and you can make all kinds of cool things like fireworks ^^.

Yeah, I know I'm not giving you much information, but....

Good luck. My patience for crafting is nil. I think I've dabbled in goldsmithing (at a whopping .6), cooking (.3, maybe?), and something else, probably boneworking.

I've got level 50 cooking for making pies and juices for my mage jobs, other than that I haven't dabbled much in crafting, got level 1-4 in a few other crafts. Since I switch jobs often I don't plan on getting any single craft up to 100 for a long time.

What kind of discount on Shinobi-Tabi? I mean, if you're offering a good enough discount, and keep at the woodworking, hell, I'll buy Shihei and the other tools from you as well. (Depending on how much I level Nin, I just hit 12  )

65 Cloth 60 Alchemy 60 Wood work 8 leather 7 bone 31 gold craft 1 fish 58 cooking, 7 smith. The most usefull crafting for me were Alchemy and Cooking, since these can make usefull stuffs that you use often. Cloth craft I start to find more irritating. My Goal was to be able to make Rasetu: Kai the HQ of rasetu for my monk but jesus not sure if I am able to make this thing since it costs soooooooooooooo much to make it. Further more, every crafting will require some support tradeskill in order to succeed. In Cloth craft's case, some require alchemy, gold, leather and smithing.

Support skill is like you require a certain amount on your main crafting and certain amount in your support craft. Such as Rasetu arm part will need Cloth of 95, smithing to some extent (still unknown in crafting web page) and Leather till some extent. My take is if you want to get to 100 with one crafting will require to have 60 on all the support crafting you need for the main crafting. I am not sure if I should continue with cloth since Rasa ingredients are ALWAYS out of stock due to those high level JP crafters. (I hate them...) This is the reason why crafting is hard. Some ingredients are bought from High level JP crafters before you notice its in stock.

Most profitable? Depends on your level but I believe around 30 its cooking. You use it every time you go exping, and its a high usage stuff. Other than that maybe alchemy. You have to think about what to make to make profit. Usually fits in the items which sells quick and the items that in demand. Most cases its food or ingredient of another item. Another thing to consider is to make a profit in any crafting most of the ingredients you should farm yourself. Its hard and really boring. I am now killing every crawlers on sight to get the silk I need. And I need about 6 stacks of silk to even attempt to raise my skill.

Shinobi-Tabi are clothcraft, lol. The more you buy the bigger discount I'd give you. Oh, and I meant the most profitable AT LEVEL 100. ^^.

BAH! >_>

100... hmmmmmmmmmmmm. Now thats a tricky one. Any 100 skill craft is expensive with high return, big ouch if it breaks. All crafting has cursed item recepies except cooking and fishing of course. But it really depends... its very very hard to determin which is the best. Reason is ... all crafting has something that worth millions of gils.

I believe goldsmithing has the most expensive items in terms of the number of different synths you can profit on at high level. They also have some very expensive ones.

Alchemy can make you some decent income in the 70-90 range if you have mules, and it's not that expensive to get up that high. My friend's only spent 1 mil, and he's almost 80 Alchemy.

I think cooking does make cursed items, soup or something.

That's all I have to say, not gonna get caught again in a tread about craft.

Good luck!
