Crappy connections

Anyone else having crappy connections in FFXI? I just tried to head to the Canyon to level WHM with a few friends from the linkshell, and I disconnected right as I zoned. So instead of waiting forever to d/c, I just did Alt+Tab to get out. Later, I log in, and it seems fine, but my connection goes from 100% down to around 20%. Then it goes up to 100% again, but goes down again. Over and over.

/em is angry.

Edit: The few times I was able to /l, they said it appeared as if Palum was having the same problem. So I'm wondering if anyone else is having it as well.
 
Yup, same problem with me... so I gave up.

Maybe it could, or maybe it could. Or it couldn't.
 
This happens to me once a day, sometime ill get down to 88% then it drops to 0 in like 30 seconds, sometimes its much more painful when it takes 10 minutes of dropping to 80 back at 100 down to 80 up to 94 down to 76 up to 94 100 50 100 100 86.... Last time was late at night when I had time for one more NM pop, I was the last kill, zone was camper free, i was raping placeholders. When i saw i was having connection problem it pissed me off and i gave up.

What is even worse is when the bloody connection rapidly drops.. and I'm like fine.. I'm going to d/c...but NOOOOO they give you that sliver of hope and it goes up again.... and right when you're like great!, it starts to fall again... I swear that's the sign I'm an addict..... must.... play....FFXI....

That was the part that was pissing me off. It looked like I was going to be fine, but NOOOOOOOOO. It drops, then goes back up. :/
 
aye. my conn was yellow/red for about 15 minutes before i logged out of annoyance at not being able to fight like that.
i contacted tech supports "IM" chat on ffxi mainpage. they are aware of current server connection issues across several servers due to registration server difficulties or some such and are "looking into the matter". (lol).

ima go play RTW till they get things sorted out.

Mid party last night everything is going fine and suddenly my screen freezes and I get an error msg saying the network was busy. Even kicked me out of POL. /cry


And yeah everything is slower lately/more lag.

Somedays I hate SE.
