I don't even know why I am arguing this with you, even without the AF problem she has still proven herself a lazy SOB just from her AF weapon and earrings alone. Quit trying to pull it off that she actually is good at PLD.

Im not, nor have I ever said she was a good pld, what im picking at is the elitist attitude that you have that a pld must have pld af body at 60 and that fact that the rng had a part in the parties demise as well. As I said before care less if craven is a horrible pld or not it the principal that you said she was bad pld, because she did not have the af body and that she had no mp when the rng pulled; hinch the reason she did not provoke because she was resting to try get some mp.

Call me elitist, but that's just what I think, there are far worse people than me, so I wouldn't let it get to you. The PLD AF body the best AF piece of the set, and it should be used ASAP. Not getting it is just plain laziness, which she has already proven that she is. The same goes for the AF pants, they aren't as good as the body but they are still great, and at 60 missing them out for 2 levels is stupid.

Hellstorm...She had completely gimp gear, was taking mad damage, and spamming cure 3 on herself. This is why she had no mp, even with refresh...doubt she had sanction refresh, but that's her own fault. I would generally pull when she had 100+ mp, the only time I'd pull before that was if we were on chain 3 or 4. This had nothing to do with me stealing hate, as you were originally posting.

And I agree with Kage 100%, if a piece of gear is reasonably easy to obtain, you should definatly have it. There is no good reason why she shouldn't have her AF body before hitting 60. I would never skip a good piece of gear, just because your going to be switching it out for a new piece in five levels. I think the correct word for that is....gimp. Like Zer said, if we were to do that, that would make us no better than the gear sellers wear.

It's hardly required gear IMO, PLD is easy as hell to tank with efficiently, AF or no AF. Gear choices improve aspects of their ability to tank, but it's the player behind the character that makes them good or bad in parties.

i party with her about 2 weeks ago even with sata she couldnt hold hate wouldnt voke @ start of fight even standing still without resting. all she did was use berserk and try to dd tank at the same time with SH on i was sam thf with another thf we were doing double sata and still she lost hate to our rdm healer most of the time or to me using ws without SA for low dmg. out of 40 min she last it in pt she die like 4 times due to having berserk up and no puting sentinel or defender up. defender was use one becuase we yelled at her to use it due to mp waste and no bein able to keep a chain 1.

really really she sucks as a pld and any other job i pt with her . drg / mnk alike. outside the annoying emotes. so i feel you on this one icewolf.

I really dont think hell believes craven is any good, I think she's argueing just to say, "you can play well in bad gear" which is true to an extent, but i find it more satisfying to play as good as my gear will let me. That doesn't mean getting some peices of armor that are millions of gil, or rare/ex and very difficult to get...but just having whats not too much to ask.

I still think with even top notch gear craven would do a bang up job of things though >.> But as long as were all happy right?

I find it believable that a good PLD can hold hate in crappy gear.

It's a bit harder to swallow that they would not be a noticeably bigger MP sink, though. (Even if it's their own MP.)

Well, I think even if she had good gear, her AF, and everything else....I think she would still be playing like she currently is. Just a thought really.
Good gear would be a waste on a person who doesn't know how to utilize it to its fullest potential.

I can hold hate with just sword and shield, rest in opaline dress XD

I gained each piece of PLD af gear as i got to the level of availablity, I was fortunate enough to have a LS and static partners that cared enough to keep their tank fully equipped for each time we partyed.

I was wearing Royal Knight's Chainmail from 55 right up to 60 when we quested the af body and returned to party later that night, I had little prob tanking in the royal knights gear though and if I'd had to at 60 I could have got by without the af body that lv.

The earing bit amazes me though, is it possible she forgot what she had on? I know one friend she went out to tank with the wrong sub once cause party was in a hurry, lol I did that once too, accidents can happen.
