Crazy new NM idea

a mimic let me explain (im alittle high so bare with me).
This NM spawns in the form of any mob that normally spawns in that area. So lets use the dunes for example when it spawns it will spawns as: Rabbit, Fly, Lizard, Bat, Goblin ect. It will still check to (Imposible to gauge) although it will look like (in name and image but not stats) another mob. After someone engages it and take down so much HP it respawns in its true form. This idea can also be a HNM or both
 
The only downside to doing this in low level zones would be all the people training mobs endlessly to draw it out. I think it would be good though in 50+ zones as long as they don't make it so hard that an EXP party can't beat it. What kind of drops would be good for this I don't know, but the idea sounds fun.
 
training zones infinitely to find out is already somthing that happens once every 21 hours and 15 minutes with shikigami weapon.

better hope somthing like that spawns in a area that no one ever exps in else all the partys there are screwed my friend
 
I would like to see world drops of a sort implimented.

Well with the new claiming system I think it could work in higher level zones. I would say make it completely random though. Not a time pop or a lottery pop. Just SE saying ok this is popping now. It could be 2 at the same time or you might not see it for a week or more. And with that in mind I think it would have to either be 100% drop R/EX, or a 50% drop R. Imagine fighting a Robber Crab and all of a sudden it turns into an NM, that drops a sheild that gives you the effect of stoneskin on a fullmoon earthsday. That would be the shit.
 
Ya im thinking this shouldnt be in pre 50 zones either. Im thinking of acually this nm wont aggro make it alittle easier to track it down so this can be possible in low lvl zones. Like that random goblin that never aggros anyone is acually a NM ppl are walkin right past. The drop should be 100% and some other drops profitiible drops. We can have one mimic for every region that would mean the drop would have to be nice but rare that ppl with acually find it.

I'd say look up "Bloodsucker", but the NM is blue while the normal ones are orange...though in the water it can be tough to tell..

Crystal WEAPON, the 6th ark angel that represents the feinds. Make it look like a Gundam.

I've always felt we needed a world boss in the game. Something that spawns in any "Outdoors" zone, with about a week or more between spawns. Let it move freely between zones and make it talk shit while it wanders and fights.
 
i was discussing somthing crazy with Darkdominion in his basement about a year ago. On April fools day or somthing, have all NMs switch spawns randomly. As in, everyone gathered in Dragons Aery, and suddenly.... Leaping Lizzy spawns, or some other NM. Meanwhile in the dunes.. Some noob gets eaten by Nidhogg.
Removed exp loss for the day or somthing, would just be awsome to see Gilsellers at mee Deggi suddenly get eaten by King Behemoth.
 
I always like the idea of a NM that could pop anywhere in the world at any time and could proceed to move about the land via zoning and whatnot. Couldn't hurt to throw the ideas in the suggestion bit on POL, you might screw up and get taken seriously. :D
 
I thought that having special (semi-nms?) which would spawn around popular exp zones that give the same effects as killing a stone in dynamis. So say; party wide restore to HP or MP.
I think that they could be called the same name, and just have a slightly different character model to the regular EXP mobs, so they're not heavily "camped" by exp partys for the buffs. I think they could be the same level as the normal mobs aswell, and still check normally (Incredibly tough, etc.) but just give a helping hand to the efficiency of a party (this would be especially useful to partys without a good buffer- say bard or corsair).
 
That would be cool having a roaming nm I always though that can definaly change ppls tactics of campin with the roaming nm and the mimic type nm I says. As far as the mimic ideas goes I would have one mimic per region and it wouldnt aggro or link to make it easier to find. I though there could be a hnm ideas of the mimic too it can take the place of any of the current hnms spawn but you wont know till it transform into its true form. And yes it would still have at least one 100% drop that useful for every job.
