This morning as I logged in before work to check my AH status I saw one of my old LS mates on my friend list...He was one of many that has quit recently, left for another game or just had crap to deal with.

In the past two weeks I've said more goodbyes than I did at my high school graduation. My friend list shirnks a bit more everyday it seems....even when the goodbyes are happy (as happy as they can be anyway) they leave me feeling down and bit confused. Anyone could leave at anytime, and in the long run no will notice...I won't forget my friends, I will always miss them....Farwell my fellow Forgotten Heros....
 
Strangely enough I think I have 0 people on my friends list now.

Yeah I should update the old Friends List too. ><

1/2 of the poeople that are on it - I don't even remember - then there are the ones who left...whom I mourn whenever I "check" it :(

My very bestest friend in the game ever left for WoW. I've been totally heartbroken. There have been others who have left as well...it's amazing how much it hurts. And I too mourn them when I check my friends list. I don't have the heart to delete them.

And Kurgon you can add me to your friends list ~.^
 
I can't bring myself to remove them from my list, I still have people I met a year ago on there, in hopes that if they come back (not that they will) I will catch them....
 
Thanks Summer I will do that. Thing is anyone in my LS I pretty much think of as in-game friends so I feel as though I have friends in game. Most of my prior Friend list additions occur during the high you experience after a great exp'ing session in which everyone loves everyone and then the inevitable happens. They out level me and when we are no longer in a position to help each other our relationship is suddenly "eh".

Heh, all the people from my old LS, Masamune and then Friends of Cuteness, has quit or no longer cares to talk anymore. The only people I see on anymore from the old linkshell is GalkaLegend and Prophecy. Oh well. Play on.

*thinks of when he quits and ends up seeing an old guy at a high technology computer trying to hit the macro buttons and saying "Oh for h-h-heaven's sake!" when they die...* O_o;
 
Sorry all but sometimes we just must move on. I was bored anymore with it and the other games offered a fresh reconciliation with gaming and me.

I am enjoying my time in EQ2 and WoW.

I must say this PvP is the motha f*ckin bomb.

Yeah I know how you are feeling Devi, I almost cried when I said goodbye to my LS.......the good news is that WoW has not taken me forever, I'm "temporarily retired" I will come back, and there will be a twist to when I do come back!

BTW Mohoso, what WoW server are you on? I wanna drop by and say hi!
 
One of my LS members who is a 75 pld has left the game for a good chunk of time due to its boredome, lack of things to do (alone or in small groups). He took 2 long break, once in 3 month after the game release (buggy, hell to level and so on) for 2 month and a 1 whole year break 1.3 years ago. (I don't blame him. So much bug, nerf happend that year)

The game will become boring if it stops giving the thrill, urge to play. And this usually is tied to time issue aswell. FFXI is not an easy game to play, or keep motivated if you don't have the time to dedicate. Something that we don't have much after school / university.

New games brings new people, quitting people, temp breaking people and such. If its a game which inspired them to stay they will stay there. Otherwise people will go back and forth to the game which it entertains them most.

you could get lucky and have friends leave and come back. I recently had 3 friends surprisingly come back when theyve been gone over a year. a 4th i hear might be too. which is just awesome!

Le sigh... i wish i knew some method of contacting Neise and Chidori... i want to talk to them again... Its been forever :| Not to mention all the fun times we had together ^o^
