Crysis!!!!!

coolness, i heard some rumors of a 360 port a few days ago with some links over at the scene, so it would be cool to get a mulit platform release on this game, i didnt think it to be true when i read it but now it looks bright.

You bastards. I was hoping for it to be a PC exclusive.

its funny tho, i remember watching a behind the scenes video of this game where they talked about it never coming to consoles and being pc exclusive because systems simply couldnt handle what the game was doing, so i certainly didnt see this coming after watching that.

Heh, Microsoft is probably pissed off, not because it hasn't been announced, but because it was originally a game they were saying only playable on their Vista OS. This is definitely a system seller for me.

Hell, I'd be happy with games made with the same engine on the PS3. It's not Crysis, but if Crysis turns out anything like Farcry I won't be upset.

Would make it even worse if the 360 couldn't run it and the PS3 could. It's possible the only reason any console can run it is the cell processor.

also possible this has nothing to do with Crysis at all, i mean they did anounce they will make other games for consoles using Cry ingine. i saw the article on kutaku and no were it says Crysis for ps3.. just looking for a developer capable of working with ps3. which makes sense because to port it to 360 is so similar to pc they can probably do it themselves, and a ps3 profesional would be needed to bring it there. again this may not even involve crysis and may be conserning their next project. they did say many many times it will stay exclusive to pc, i guess it would be a good thing if it came to consoles tho as long as its not dumbed down.

I can't believe none of you don't already know this... Oh well, here goes. The Crysis for the PC will be its own gem. There will not be a port of it to any system as systems, not even the PS3, can handle it or even get close to the features of DX10. This has been stated more than once by the Crysis team. On to the 360, the Crysis team is making another FPS similar to their PC game but, well, not. The story is going to even be a little different. This is the first news I've heard of anything Crysis related to PS3, speculation aside, and it's still heavy speculation from a site that can't even spell next-gen... Don't get a bonner just yet.

My thoughts are they'll probably port the 360 project or PS3 will have their own special game like the 360.

Why do you say these things when you know I will kill you for it?

Everything is speculation until it's in your hands, which should be a painfully obvious message to anyone who follows the game industry. Hell Halo was originally supposed to be a Mac game, Sonic is on Nintendo now, you just don't know what's going to happen until it's time, even with first party games. The only question is the odds of something based on requirements of software and capabilities of hardware. Then there's the question of the market for a product versus the costs with delivering the product - and also importantly, the markets shrank by releasing a product.

Hell I do know one thing, and that's Crysis could be put onto a PS3 a lot easier than Metal Gear Solid 4 stuffed onto a DVD and despite their insistance no 360 port is coming you seem 100% convinced it's coming. Now you speak about Crysis on PS3 as impossible in the face of them hiring PS3 programmers looking to help them port software.

Does that mean the game is coming to PS3? No, it's no guarantee.

My personal theory about it. They'll test the possibility out when they get the engine itself ported. If PS3 can run it, they'll make a port, if not, they won't. They aren't going to announce the game when they don't even know if it'll be doable. But it seems pretty obvious to me they'll be doing some tech demos.

well some facts stand,
#1 they have said several times Crysis will not go to any console(this could mean the pc's version, console may get dumbed down version. meaning as someone posted totaly different story ect.)
#2 they didnt say crysis on ps3, they said looking for programers familiar with PS3 developement(which could be a totaly new game, porting the cry engine. Can also be port of the 360s Cry engine game, which can be seen because developement for 360 is similar to pc)
#3 Kotaku.com is king of speculation(and any ps3 fan is just praying this is true that a port is coming)
i really feel its just a game using the cry engine coming, which they said they will be doing for consoles soon. And even if that is the case its still something to be excited about =D

Go back and re-read, I wont crack any jokes this time.

The game itself i dont care about, its a basic looking shooter. All the game has is the Engine.
