No, I prefer the calculated, smart, Anthony Hopkins-Hannibalesque villain. He may be a little (ok, a LOT) extreme, but in the end, you look back and you see he had a point.

Reading over both Palum's and Cubswoo's point of views, I have to say that in many senses I agree with both of you.

Palum yes I agree that maybe sometimes Cubswoo is a bit straightforward and harsh with his beliefs on how the game should be played. It would easily deterr beginners and probably scare them if they ever had to party with him. I think sometimes Cubswoo may go a tad bit over when hes trying to make his point but a lot of us do that at times.

In terms of ideals and beliefs, I actually agree with Cubs. Sabia said something about playing the game just to have fun. Cubs rebuttled with a statement saying how having a bad party, people going AFK, people not knowing how to play their job etc., made HIS experience not fun. I too, believe that as well. When someone is horrible at their job, and I end up wasting 1 hr for 2k exp, I am NOT a happy person. I want to have fun in this game too, and my idea of fun also comes with a certain degree of efficiency that I want when I am partying. I dont want people going AFK for no reason, nor do i want people who dont know how to play their job, as it is outright aggrivating.

Just want to tell everyone to look at both sides of the story. Some people's perceptions of fun are very different from others. Some dont care if they get bad exp as long as they have "fun people" in the party. Others want to play the game to advance further and dislike having hinderances.

Finally, about treating ti like a job... sometimes, yes, I do. The things I want out of the game will come during the endgame, when I can get into the story and do Rank 9-10 missions. I want a Sky pass. I want my Windy Flag in my MH. But to get those, I need to level first.

I just want to point this out to people. We all have different goals in the game, just as we all have different goals in real life. I personally have no plans of making it to end-game. My goal in the game is to meet people and have a good time with the people I meet. Your goal is to reach level 75 as fast as possible. Other people’s goals are to have the absolute best equipment, no matter what. Others do not care what the stats are as long as it looks good on them, its all about the fashion, and other peoples goal are to leech off everyone else to make the game as easy as possible to them, since they can’t pop in there game shark and cheat.

Just as you are not going to change your goals in the game, I am not going to change mine, the N00bs are not going to change there’s. You need to find people who share your goals, not expect and demand everyone else to accept yours.

There are players that I view as being horrible, I am sure there are people who think I’m horrible, and I am sure there are people who think you are horrible, it is all a matter of perspective.

Do not get me wrong, I do not consider getting 2k exp in an hour fun, but I do not find getting 5k+ exp an hour fun either and in either case I will either remove the person causing the problem or remove my self and find another party that fits my needs.

That's where we differ. I have to deal with the short bus group of people in all other aspects of my life. I don't want to have to deal with them during my recreation. And a community is only as strong as its weakest member. Finally, about treating ti like a job... sometimes, yes, I do. Cubs, there are always going to be short bus people playing this game. Theres nothing you can do about it. I would say that at least 80% of the people that play are idiots. If you dont want to deal with it, maybe you should find another game that isnt as pt intensive.

Hah. I love that image. Strangely enough, the best photo I've ever had taken of myself was me sitting in a red velvet high-backed chair, half-hunched over, twirling brandy in a snifter while I gave my best evil, menacing look to the camera.

T'be honest, it fits my persona when it comes to things like this. I played the villain in all of my high school plays, I'm currently studying the ins and outs of voice acting, and one of my favorite performances of all time was Jeremy Irons (Scar.) Just so deliciously evil.

I havent PTed with Cubswoo yet, but it seems like I would have no fun in his PT. H wants 4-5k+ XP in a hour, which is very good, but how much concentration does that require? I play this game to have FUN, not crank out XP. I like to chat with my LS, talk alsmot non stop in PT about anything at all. thats FUN. I dont want to feel like I have to bust out an hour of extremely boring lvling just to achive "good XP". I get distracted alot by LS, RL, TV, stuff like that. I dont think I want to PT with Cubs if he doesnt like mind less FUN PT chats.

If Villarel is involved obtaining items/avatars, it's like money in the bank! We had fun at the last Fenrir outting. I must say, having Fenrir as a summon is just priceless. If you wanna talk about knowledgeable elite players, Vil is your man! I'd fight beside him anytime.
