"Patient refused to lie back in red velvet chair. Continued to glare throughout the session, at times, looking almost maniacal. Patient takes life too seriously, as is his right, but I fear for his health. Type A personalities, I informed him, have a tendency to suffer from high blood pressure, heart problems, and chronic conditions like back aches and migraines. Patient insisted I was being inefficient by the way I held my clipboard. I assured him that it is what I find comfortable and pleasing..at which time he became calmly belligerrant insisting I adjust my grip. Despite my attemtps to return the conversation to more traditional psychoanalytic analysis..the patient seemed determined to engage in a discussion regarding my pen...my secretary..and the placement of my phone on my desk.
Attempts to explain that this is how it best works for me only resulted in the patient becoming even more calmly insistent that while my way may "work" it certainly can't be "best."
Diagnosis:
Axis I: Rule out Delustional Disorder: Grandiose Type (297.1)
Axis II: Narcisistic Personality Disoder (301.81)
Axis III: Rule out chronic Constipation (see continual references from others regarding things "stuck in ass")
Axis IV: N/A
Axis V: GAF = 72

*Note: The above is a successful attempt to procrastinate by the author and should be taken as serious as anything else on any board deserves to be. Thank you.
