Contacting via my hotel room.
I was one of the earliest ones here.
Thank GOD they're using a new registration system now. No more waiting in a damn three hour line... My feet hurt so bad in 2007...
Instead they're having people as they arrive go in and pick up registration tickets with a specific number on it. Instead of being forced to wait in a long-ass line and having to worry about people cutting in front of you, they'll be calling people to come pick up their tickets in waves.
I'm in group one to pick up a ticket. I got there at about 11am.
Oh yeah.
Guys? Guess what? I found out why the tickets sold out especially fast this year.
Well... In 2006, the Fanfest had about 1,500 people...
In 2007, the FanFest just had a little over 2,000+ people.
This year? The FanFest strictly sold out at a miniscule 500 people.
I'm supposed to be meeting Aniero from Limit Break Radio here (A popular, FFXI-themed Podcast if you haven't heard), and helping him conduct some interviews.
While I am disappointed that only two people from Quetz are confirmed to be here (Myself, and Darkruler), I'm glad that the FanFest is at an extremely familiar location for me. The intersection of Hollywood & Highland. Sharing the corner with famous locations like Ripley's Believe it or Not. The El Capitan theatre where Disney plays their latest movies. The Mann Chinese theatre. And the place where they host the Academy Awards.
Hopefully, I'll have my dorky Nomad Moogle Shield tonight. I'll be taking plenty of pics.
See you all soon.
