The people of FFXIAH are suggesting that Cursed Subligar has a Tier 0 leather sub. Well, really just one person, but I'd like to confirm.

Has anyone attempted this? If so, how many tries did it take? I don't want to go 0/18 and then find it's tier 0 =\
 
whats the theoretic leather sub level? my mule is 95 bone 0 leather i coudl try one day!
 
It's tier 0, yeah.

Fygla went like 0/30+ before he just bought it.

You could go 0/30+ on a tier1 . Im pretty confident its tier1. Ninesixtwoseven went 2/4... in 1 setting. Pretty sure its not tier0. Unless he just got ridiculously lucky.

People can and have gone 2/4 on a tier 0 before. So we're right back where we started again.
 
Wiki says the LC is 41. Take it for what its worth :P

I know a couple people who have had really bad luck with getting the HQ, but also know a few who went like 1/1 or 1/3 or something.

This one in particular?

Yeah if you check my sig you see that you can't really tell an HQ rate with such a small sample size.

I'd better not gamble with it.

Yeah I meant the legs. Like lanien said fygla went 0/30. I know someone else like 1/51 or somehting. And then the other 2 lucky ones I said.
 
I am lv 106 woodworking. Last time I tried to make arrowood lumber (Lv 2 recipe), I went 1/15 on HQ. Does that mean it's tier 1? no.
 
I happen to have 100 bone with 37 leather....I would be willing to test with your matts...god help you if I can make it lol(if i can make it the sub is no higher than 52)

you know, you can use the trick if it still works: synth while engaging a monster, and you'd loose the crystal only.
 
Actually, I was farming items for crafting and I diaga'd a bunch of mobs. After I got the item I wanted, I started synthing while having a goblin on me. He cast a spell on me and I lost all ingredients.
 
I just tried to synth leather ring ( lv 22), with leather skill@7. So 15 level above. Did this while engaging a rabit in ronfaure. 20 tries= 20 failed recipes where I only loose the crystal. I think it's pretty safe to say it still works. Unless I'm very lucky to not loose any mats 20 times in a row on a synth 15 levels above me.
 
did you actually attack the rabbit, or did you have your weapon drawn but staying out of range of the mob so it wasn't attacking you?
 
I've done this many time on spiders when farming spider webs, you don't lose anything but cristal.

Did either. Myrh failed because a gob was casting a spell on him probably.
