quick question. is it common for SE's support number (858) 790-7529, to be busy? i have a billing issue i'd like to have resolved, but have gotten nothing but busy signals for hours now. i swear i got the number off their web site...i think. *sigh*

I suppose just keep trying because apparently they are understaffed over there. I put a suggestion to PoL about how their hours are so inconvenient since they only operate during normal work hours when everyone else is busy.

The number is correct btw, good luck! :(
 
I had to call them once before all the hacking stuff occurred and it went through with a short elevator music wait before I got a live person.

From what I hear now that busy signal occurs frequently. So yes, it's common.

A couple general best practice advice for contacting a busy call center:

1) Call right when they open. Start from about 5 minutes before announced opening time (oftentimes the morning shift is already there and sometimes people log in the phone lines before the official start time).

2) Avoid peak hours. SE US customer support is in San Diego so it's PST. Don't call between lunch hours (11 to 1 PM PST). Think about the target audience calling SE. Morning is going to work better than afternoons, I'd wager (which is contrary to business-to-business call center peak hours).

Don't give up, you'll get through.

I've been waiting for an hour and a half on the chat box, so they must be getting hammered or something. On a sidenote, i reformatted my comp and lost my playonline ID anyone know a better way to get it back? lol


edit: i just got someone it's been almost 2 hours since i started the process though

I have taken no less than 3 hours to get somone on chat and I have done it 5-6 times over my account getting jacked. And I am going to have to do it again because I finally got my damn email saying yes I am who I say I am.
 
I don't even have the patience to bother calling anymore. IF I can get through without getting hung up on 15 seconds into my call, then I wait forever to get an answer. I go to their live online chat.

I needed to reset my password a couple months ago because I couldn't remember it. I was in queue on live chat for 7 freakin hours! They didn't answer until AFTER their regular business hours. That is the most ridiculous shit I've ever dealt with. I hope you get through and don't have to wait that long.
 
7 hours :shok: how were you able to wait that long? I know I would've said screw it a long time before 7 hours

Sat on online chat waiting and played the game at the same time. I had my pw saved, just couldn't remember it.
