Today me and a few friends went to get a jelly ring for a PLD friend. afterwards, the DRG that was w/us told us he needed his test for G5, so we decided since we were all gathered to go to davoi and grab it, however a few of us could not make it, so the setup we had going into Davoi was 70 PLD, 70 DRG, 66 RDM. after getting the DRG's test (which dropped on the first mob lol) the PLD said he needed his too, so we headed out of monastic cavern, into davoi (the entrance near the house)

As soon as we exited, we saw a large group of people standing there, 2 parties at least. we found out they were doing windurst M8-1, fighting the NM in the house, which both the DRG and myself needed. We asked if there were any vacancies, but were continually told no.

So anyway, we decide to head into the house and try for the NM as well, since there were so many other people here, making it safe enough to try. We get in, and he spawns a couple times (respawn time of 15 min.) and they kill him each.

At one point, the house was ovverun with spawns and links. There were about 5 or 6 orcs in there i would say. Some of their people were getting hit, and instead of standing by and letting them die (which they wouldn't have anyway) we decided to be nice and we grabbed 2 of the 5 or 6 mobs, 1 of which i slept, and they claimed back anyway. So we helped them out instead of standing around. I figure that's a nice enough gesture.

Now by this time, the DRG had gotten a 74 BLM friend of his to come along to help. So now the four of us are waiting on the NM to pop.

So finally, it pops and the PLD vokes it. Too excited was i to notice it casting Blizzaga III or something. so anyway, it gets off the spell and the taru BLM w/us dies instantly... only a mere 7 seconds into the fight. I get silence up on it, and start debuffing and curing the PLD and DRG, who at this rate would have had it dead in a matter of a minute or two. So far, the fight's looking pretty good, but we got link. 2 more orcs had linked in, and i had WHM sub, so i Sleep II on one, and Sleep on the other.

We fight for another 20 seconds or so, and i'm finally out of MP from curing, and need to convert. Just then the 2 adds wake up, and the NM starts casting Blizzaga III. I didn't have any time to hesitate, so i Converted and tried to silence him, however i was unable to get it off in time with the 2 adds hitting me. He cast the spell and we all 3 died, the DRG delevels to 69 =/

Now you see, the anger that all this time this huge alliance hadn't bothered to help with adds, and the fact that when we died, Cyronae actually said "ROFL" REALLY PISSED ME OFF. Since his was the only name i could see, i decided to send him a tell, and yes i did say "You could've helped w/links at least fucking asshat"

So now, they have the NM and finish it off, and give the other three members of my PT raise 2 or 3. so i start PM'ing friends and get a raise 3 on the way. Luckily, one of the whms there had the kindness to apologize and give a raise 3. I thank him/her very much for that, but as for this kind of bullshit i'm sick of it. I can't tell you how many complete strangers i've given help to, just to get fucked over by them in return.

So you know what Cyronae, and anyone else who's like him? You're immature, selfish and a total jerk. I don't see how anyone could get to 75 and still be a complete selfish little brat. Just curious if anyone else feels the same way as me. Thanks
 
If I was you I would have been mad too, but try putting yourself in the alliance shoes for a sec........

You took the time and the hassle to build a 12 man alliance, hauled them over to davoi, then when you get there your asked by someone if they can join you respond "no full". You then watch as the people who asked you who (as you admit) cannot camp the NM by themselves counter camp you. And the only reason they can even be there is because all of your hard work, and now your teammates must wait "even longer" for thier share.

I'm not saying who's wrong or right, personally I wouldn't have laughed, and I would have let you taken it and helped you, but not everyone is like me. Just giving you a differnt view on things.
 
Laughing was rude, but they acted like everyone else does with other NM's. Most people don't help with adds for NM's claimed by other people; they stand and wait to get a ToD or to possibly claim it if the other people die. This is accepted as stanard with other NM's, so I don't see a reason why it's different here.

Also, they were not entirely at fault. They were there specifically for that NM, while you just happened upon them, and decided to use the opportunity. I don't really blame them for just watching, since you messed with the entire reason why they were there, while you were just there for a testimony.

I wouldn't have laughed, I would have even raised you if I was there, but I wouldn't have helped you kill the NM that I was there for and needed.
 
Yes, standard policy with NM is to act like an asshat. However, helping someone with adds generally constitutes a LITTLE common decency.

They should have helped you.
 
I would have helped especially considering he helped them with adds.
Goddamit people, whatever happened to this game being fun? It becomes like a second life as soon as you hit 10 and go to the dunes.

Whether it was 5 minutes or 5 hours, once you started counter camping them you made the choice to be competition. They had been there to do a mission and you just happened along hoping to get lucky and when told you there was no space you decided you were going to do it without them. Then to make things more insulting since they said no and they spent a LONG time setting up the mission while you now just decided to come, you take the very mobs they are seeking. Maybe next time you will realize what you were doing might have also been in the wrong or even rude before you go insulting someone.

And I don't know if you have ever been NM camping, but its extremely annoying when you have been camping for hours and along comes this noob for 5 mins and gets lucky with the claim. Its very annoying and basically what you did was no different regardless of the spawn time of the NM or if it was a mission.
 
I just thought of something else. Seeing that Blizzaga III killed you guys in 1 blow, I could just imagine what they where thinking had they helped you and those blizzgas got turned on the alliance while you still had claim on it. Man that would be so messed up and prob end up having your name on this board. "NM Blizzga III's helpless Alliance to death".

I dunno if i would have helped after looking at it this way :D

Relax. Laughing may have been rude. But bashing others aint gonna solve the problem. Cyronae isnt the one to blame. Just cause you didnt get what you want, quit taking your frustration out on others. You dont know Cyronae so I'd suggest you check yourself and act a bit more "Mature" as you were suggesting that Cyronae should.

From what I know, Cyronae did not direct that comment to you directly. Sometimes, I think that its pretty hilarious when people die or the way they get themselves killed. But thats just me. Maybe to you, its called, "Immature". Whatever floats your boat.

So let me ask you this? Why so much anger from Cyronae's laugh?
Quilty conscience? Anger management? You know whats funny? The way you handled this "mature" situation so maturely. So mature that you had to complain about others just because you couldnt get something you want. So mature, that you didnt appreciate anyone else that was there to help you including Cyronae. So mature you had to even make the effort to come online to QCDN to complain about a person and type up a flame.

A) back the FUCK OFF YOU MOTHER FUCKING DIPSHIT. Cyro is one of the nicest people i have met in this game to date.

B)You bit off more than you could chew and she laughed at you. If a level 4 claimed leaping lizzy and died trying to kill her, i woulda laugh at the corpse. and whilke i was laughing someone else would cliam it and get the drop but irregardless. how long were you camping the NM? what if she was campin the NM for 3 hours then you show up, claim it and die? i'd laugh and laugh and laugh at you.

C) i've been in a position very much like this with Ammemet. we accept it as a part of life. we don't go making giant flames because we tried to take on an NM who could slaughter us and then someone else finished it when we were dead. And yes, once again the taru blm was the first to die, stupid lizard gets loose, runs up uses blockhead, goes back to beating on the pt... i start casting drain, whm starts on cure 3.... ammemet drops a fireball.
 
I call bs on your story... a 75 rdm/blm couldn't ele seal silence it one time I fought him, I don't think a 66 rdm could stick silence on it.

I've killed this guy a few times, and 4 random people showing up isn't gonna be enough to take him down.

Begging people in the area to help you kill it, and getting pissed when they don't is a little childish. Then you CC them, delaying the amount of time they would have to remain there by another 20 minutes (this is a long mission as is) if you would have been able to kill it, and expect them to save your butts when you get in over your head?
 
Maybe you shouldnt call BS unless you know what you're talking about for one. RDM/WHM has higher mind. And Galdor's gear is pretty good.

Second point, some of you talk of maturity and then curse every other word? Yea ok, big man ;P

Lastly, Don't turn the whole story around and be rude by making it sound like Galdor and his friends "stole" the nm, because they were mad they wouldnt help (since thats not true). They were killing off -thier- adds and helping them out. How many people who counter camp NM's actually help out when someone else gets links. NOT MANY. They were trying to be nice. And to turn right around and LAUGH when someone dies and delevels, RIGHT AFTER THEY HELPED YOU, is completely stupid and immature.

I think a few of you should take -your- heads out your butts and look at the whole story before you look at it one sidely because someone on the alliances side was your friend.

And BTW I know for a fact he stuck the silence. /looks over at galdor's screen right now. They're fighting him again and he's doing just fine. kthx.
 
And they didn't beg for help. They asked nicely once, were denied. And started camping him. ONCE AGAIN, dont turn the story around! Geeze

First off, Karihkinz. You should spend a little bit more time and reread the flameboard. I was the person who called Karihkinz "immature". Tell me which part of my post had your "curse every other word" in there.

Second, Which part do you not understand when Galdor took an NM from an Alliance? Was Galdor part of the alliance? No.

Was He supposed to be there to take the NM? No.

If you counter camped against me, Karihkinz. I would let you die as well. I can't belive you dont understand that simple concept. Yes, I will raise III you. But never would I help someone that is only there to work against me.

Does that not seem like a selfish act to you? No vacancies in that alliance so you make a "smart" move and proceed to camp against the alliance? LOL good luck with your 3-person party. If that wasnt a well deserved death, I dont know what it was.

Lastly, If you ever form a party to kill the NM, remember to let me know. Maybe by chance I'll be around with some friends to find a "testimony" and by chance we might want to take the your party/alliance's NM as well. Just done whine and cry and post up another flame of how you thought it was stupid cause someone stole your NM.

Psst. Cy~ Time to flame up Galdor and his 3 person party and tell everyone that he tried to MPK your alliance. ROFL ROFL

66 rdm/whm with uber gear would have less of a chance of sticking an enfeeble than a 66 rdm/15blm naked using elemental seal.

The person in question acted like an ass, stop deffending him, we ALL do it. I dont give a crap if he is your friend, no one does. I dont care if he is nice, we are all nice to those we like, DUUUUUUH!!!, he did something NOT so nice.
 
its like that time me and falsey were gonna duo behemoth together. he started casting freeze, and i started casting aborb-dex, but someone voke it before our spells landed, we were sad. so i got a d2 and got on with my life.

Tell me how that is not a direct attack to everyone that are friends with him? ROFL. I'm not the one asking for trouble. But some people just dont seem to know how to stop messing with others. Much like others' NMs. . .
