D.boxing gil post update....

Bitch bitch bitch is right. Its what got us this change in the update. All those lazies out there.

Thankfully I'm not too dearly affected by the update, but I see how this isn't necessarely going to slow down RMT companies. They'll probably do some of the following:

1. Increase their number of mules per account per server to increase outbound volume;
2. Increase the price of Gil in hopes of causing a deflation, thus lowering the necessary outbound volume to be sent;
3. Valorize their items-for-real-money market, which is completely bypassing the new measure;
4. If desperate, start using some item as the new currency for transactions (e.g. Gold Ingots)

In short, those companies will find a way around the system, while players will have to deal with the new limitation on a daily basis.

For people with lots of gil on their mules, just BUY what you need/want with that mule's gil, and then send it to your main character. No need to centralise all gil into one character.

What if each mule has 25million gil, and you want to buy something from a bazaar for 100m?

I'm sure there are some people out there with this much gil spread around their mules. (I used to keep ~3m per mule)

I still remember having to send gil from each of my mules to my main for certain purchases I've made. I also use mules as extra AH space, and my jeuno mule can easily have over a million gil on it. For me it's a minor hassle since I generally don't move more then like 3m at a time, but I can imagine some people having hell with this.

----

This alone is useless to stop gill selling, maybe if they made trades public (like fishing, everyone knows what just happened) -then- I could see how this can stop gil selling, but people are just now gonna meet gil sellers in lower jeuno guidestone or something, and no one's gonna know they're trading since it's so crowded and people stand there normally just to afk/gather/legit trades etc..

Oh and just because this might make gil more expensive, IT WON'T MATTER, think about it, if someone's already spending $20-1000 doalls on fake currency, what's a few dollars here and there gonna matter? And if everything deflates, $20 worth of gil from chistmas will be worth just as much as $20 in gil in march, since everything will be cheaper.

I wonder if it'd be an overstatement to say that this change is going to probably only be a huge pain in the ass for about 5% of the quetzy server.

But it's going to change the way gilsellers operate.

Not to mention, if SE has a data structure worth anything, with the new system in place it should make tracking sketchy money transfers a lot easier.

Lol

At least no jobs got nerfed by this update.. I'm still bitter about the last one.

Eh, BST nerf was for the greater good to stop gilsellers in monopolizing certain monsters.

No but seriously...

I'm surprised BST support this halfassed attempt of policy, its the same thing as the BST nerf except this time it didn't directly affect you.

Actually, have any other bst said anything in this thread? lol.

I can't think of many updates SE has done that haven't been halfassed. But at least this is a foot in the right direction.

The bst nerf was an entirely different thing. It greatly affected the way we farm and level. The only thing some legit players have lost is the ease of transferring millions of gil, a problem most players don't have, but it's not like you gimped their whole job.
