Okay, I recently put in a new vid card into my computer and ever since then i seem to keep dcing every few mins. I logged on another computer to see if it was my computer but i still Dc. My brother can stay logged in but i dc. >.> Anyone know what's up? I keep getting "Timed out from the server" but it can't be my connection if i duo box it with my bros char and he still stays logged on.

Jack his port on the router. Move his cable to the spot your cable is in and move yours to where his is. See if it persists.

It can't be connection problems cause this seems to only effect my char. He can log on fine on mine and his computer but when i log on to mine i dc within Minutes.

Edit: I called a Gm for help. he told me to go to tech support. So i called tech. He told me to call a Gm or read teh Q And A.....I hate people.

Well, I emptied my new computer of it's ram and Vid card and put it in my old computer. I don't seem to be D/cing anymore but it still doesn't explain how or why i D/c'd on my brothers computer. Anyone know how to take my new computers HD and put it in my old computer? get myself some 270 Gig space :p

1. Unplug it.
2. Take it out of the first computer.
3. Put it in the second computer.
4. Plug it in.

Also you'll need to check the jumpers on the HD and make sure it's jumpered appropriately. If you're going to be linking it with another HD in another system make sure it's set to slave. If you're putting it on it's own controller set it to master.

You're ruining the laugh-at-Myrrh's-misfortune hour.

Don't make me come over there, Cmdr.

We dont have that here. Its prety much every hour for us, so we just call it "the usual"

to go into detail of AM's post. your motherboard is going to have 3 jacks, real wide. a wide flat wire's running from each them. then smaller one iirc would most likely be going to your A: drive, or floppy w/e. Another will be going to your CD-rom/DVD-rom(s), and the last will be your HDD. these wire comes in single and dual jacks which you can plug devices into (ie. cd/dvd/hhd drives). If your adding a drive, your naturally going to have to have a dual wire. before you plug it in, you should find the manual for the HDD itself or the computers, and see the configuration for SLAVE set for the HDD (each HDD is differant). there is also CABLE SELECT setting that may or may not do the same thing.

once you have your additional drive set to slave, place it where ever you want, hopefully a open drive bay and not ducked taped to the side like my old ghetto ass. plug the secondary drive into the middle of the wire's, jack. it should be labeled SLAVE anyway where you should plug it in. and the main drive gets the end of the cord. fire up your PC and install the proper drivers from the HDD's packaged cd / floppy or use the company CD that came with the entire package if you bought from best buy or some noise.
