In some instances, you're right, Tep.
However in others, there's a nice logical sequence of debate, rebuttal, and resolution . . . with lots of funny cat pictures and one-liners in between.
I for one would like to see Shel put in an appearance there. After all, if he's not going to "defend his honor," I'm certainly not, social shell mate or no.
