My Cat Bramble got hit by a car. ><;

My anger at this is because there are too many freaking idiot drivers in this country. Example: My town has a speed limit of 30 mph, Drivers here go at freaking 60!

My mum is taking Bramble to the vet right now, her hind legs seem to be the problem.

I hate this god damn country's laid back laws!!!! :mad:

I hope my cat will be alright ;_;

Update:

My mum just came back from the vet, Bramble's tail wouldn't move, and she cries in pain when people touch her stomach. The vet believe possible spinal injuries...

She's been given medication and she'll be monitored by the vet for the time.

I am really pissed off now, what kind of bastard would do this?!?!

That's rough, man. I hope everything ends up ok with your cat.

Update:

She's still not got any response from her tail, but she's gonna be kept overnight to see if her functions will still work.

If her functions still work, but her tail isn't working, they may have to amputate it (Noooooooooooo!!!), however, I don't want to think about the worst case scenario at this moment ;_;

Update:

Okay, she made it through the night but she's still sore on her hind legs, possibly a fractured pelvis. She also has had much to eat at the moment, and it doesn't seem like she's used the kitty box. They're gonna x-ray her later and decide if she needs an operation.

Now, should I try getting the jerk who ran her over to pay up for the operation if it comes to that? It was the driver's fault, it should be their responsibility to pay up right?

Glad to hear your cat's going to be alright, however our country doesn't have laid back laws at all, it's one of the biggest nanny states in the world.

When it comes to animals, thats where it's laid back. Example: My mum called the RSPCA to inform them of a horse that was lying down for 3 days straight with a nail sticking straight out of it's hoof, they only gave a bloody warning to the guy and he pulled a shotgun out and threatened them. Apparently they are powerless to do anything unless the animal "Is on death's door", and they can't do anything about the guy even if he pulls out his shotgun and threatens to shoot them.

Plus, I was almost run down a couple times by a jackass who has it in for me and the police can't do anything unless he actually kills me!

Edit: Update #2:

She's been fractured in her pelvis in 2-3 places, and still no tail movement. She also hasn't gone to the kitty box still, if she doesn't go later she'll be kept in for another night of observation and so on.

Aww, poor cat, I hope everything turns out well, and keep us updated. :P

Do you guys have any good Chineese restaurants near you?

Hey! I take offense to that you internet hobo. So you coming back with the expansion?

And sorry about your cat.

LMAO!

I'm hoping NOT to come back. I gave away all my shit, which turned out to be a very good move, because it's the lone reason I've been able to resist temptation thus far. :p

I'm sorry about your cat and I hope they make it out ok. My dog had accident several years ago (my mom hit him with the riding lawn mower on accident its a long story) and broke one of his hind legs. He still has problems with it so if your lucky youll get your cat back a little worse for the ware and maybe never the same but at least youll have them.^^

To be honest, I really want to have her back jumping on my lap when I'm using the PC, it was cute, especially when she tried to catch the mouse pointer on the screen XD.

If she does lose a tail, no biggie, just as long as she's still her playful self =)

Although I'm still pissed off at the driver, and I probably won't forgive them for hitting a family member and just bolting off doing 40 mph down a small lane ><;

Seriously, people like that shouldn't be allowed to drive in the UK (Including Boy racers and chavs, god I hate chavs!!!). We don't have speed camera in the village because it's kinds small =/ figures...

This is why I want a cat they are so cute and fun...

Update:

This will probably be the final one, and it isn't good news I'm afraid.

Over these past couple days of observation, she's not urinated, not regained any tail movement, and if her nerves we're to come back, it would've come back by now.

I'm heartbroken now as there are 2 options:

Manual excrement which will cause her much pain;
Put her to sleep.

I'm gonna make a decision with my mum later, but right now I'm heartbroken.

Edit:

There may be some help for her in Homeopathy, I'll check.

Well, when she gets older she'll be guaranteed to get arthritis, but it isn't a big deal at the moment, she's young, she's got a good life ahead of her (or Lives XD).

It was probably Chasym.

I'm glad that she pulled through^^
