Damn Card-Based Games

i dislike all those fad card games, but Magic: The Gathering has been going solid for 12 years now almost. And despite what some may say about Yu-Gi-Oh, its fun to play, and is fast-paced, as oposed to MTG, which can get REAL long and complicated.

Cards in Ogre Battle were good, but I agree, it's a lame way to make games 'non-confrontational' for the kiddies. :roll:

MTG started to die before I stopped playing it when all the decks you would see were 1 shot combo decks. They must've had to ban or errata like half an entire set as a result... so what's it like now?

Mostly turn 2 11/11 decks play artifact land, that gives out 2 mana a tap, play island next turn tinker the artifact and drop a Darksteel Colussus. Yeah the blue artifact worship decks are really big.
