Daone

all im saying is im not sure i'd like to risk my life letting him main heal. might get more xp by sitting around doing nothing or soloing some EP.
 
This is what I get for opening my mouth.... ^^;

Mostly the whole "make a list of good red mages" thing was a crack, purely because Beka was my red mage for war. I'm not saying that if someone is bad once, that you should never invite them again. I mean hell, a white mage that gets bored healing everyone could be a fantastic dark knight some day...

But frankly, anyone who doesn't do their job shows a disrespect for other people in the party. Yes, it's a game, I know, not the biggest deal but... this is a game where you can greatly affect other players. If you fly through a room, aggro a bunch of things and die for fun, hey, thats fine. If you are in party however, and aren't pulling your weight because you want to do something else... What makes me think you're going to do another job better if it doesn't turn out to be what you want?

I'm not saying ban a player once because they aren't the greatest player. Everyone has their bad days, their moments, or they are new. We were *all* new once, even just to a different kind of job if not the game. However, if the same player consistantly is a exp sponge... (and this goes for all classes, mage, dd even tank alike) Something has to be done about that.

And on a side note.... I know personally that Beka puts up with a lot of crap, and gives suggestions on how to fix the issue before he complains about it, so. ^^
 
Yeah I understand how people can be a bad player. I don't mind that. I shouldnt even say Daone is because I never actually pted with him. But if someone is going to ditch a party they started once we get 6 members to go dick around in Altep for an hour then I have a problem. I never /blisted anyone for being bad at their jobs. I try to help them, but if someone wants to be disrespectful like this then they earned their spot on my blist.

But yeah, it is getting pretty digusting at how short the party duration of some groups are. Unless there's something more or less something out of your control that you didn't know about, y'shouldn't party unless y'got at least 2h at your disposal (and that's short to most), in my opinion =/ any less and you should let the party know before you join..

this daone seem to hit all the edicate flags in the book.:banghead3:

  1. any guy that only going to spend hour online should not party or if he does tell party.
  2. 30-45min warning before leaving, and ask if you want replacement.
  3. If you get someone killed though must stay till get exp back unless you have to go and have already did step 2.(or atleast get party raise once you hp):spiteful:
The guy excuse he tired is lame. He need someone whack him on the head:mad:

As for the list it would never work. Consideing 1/10 time when you invite to party rdm already there. 85% chance there only 1 rdm lfg unless you 70+. only 105 of quez population even read thes boards. Lvl change, mob change, people change. Also are you really going go look at last every time you want start party.:rtfm:

What would be the good thing to do? Stick around to at least get those who died their xp back.. but no.. he says "my bad, im tired, im logging now, bye"

So, half an hour later we finally get a R1 from a BST for our whm, get raised, heal up, in all this time can't find a rdm or brd, and have to disband.

Give at least a half hour notice! And if you get people killed, please stay long enough to get the xp they lost back.

I agree w/you on the half hour notice.... I always make sure I give 1/2 hour notice (at least I try to give more if possible)... I'd invite someone I know gives notice over someone I don't know or someone I may have partied with that didn't give notice.... Understand that if there's a major emergency and you have to go that is an exception to the rules... The other day my girlfriends car broke down on the highway and I had to go help her out and I had to log off w/no notice..
 
Yeah, the lack of notice was the biggest factor.

Now, I hadn't intended to blacklist him, just not party with him agian, but apparently he read the thread or a friend read it and told him, because he started cussing me out in game on /tells yesterday. So - now he in on my blacklist.

One funny thing worth mentioning though - he said I sucked just as much on PLD as him on RDM because I was the same level as him.. Didn't quite get that reasoning but whatever ^^.

And Beka, I agree unless it's an Emergancy, 30min is the minimum amouth, I try to give 1-2hour notice of when i have to go :P
