Multi-Plat Dark Souls (Demon's Souls 2! Sort of)

Why would someone report that? I was asking a simple question. I wasn't insulting anyone.

Yes, I can totally see that you were genuinely puzzled, and in no way attempting to, as the kids would put it, "crack wise" at the expense of anyone involved in this thread.

Well, Elemmire, *can you*?

Also, Elemmire felt it necessary to report this post. Seeing as I'm the sole Moderator anymore, I feel I can do pretty much fuckall I want with reported posts.

So, there you have it folks. Something you already knew. Elemmire whines.

Come on now, you're better than this.

So Trist, why the fuck haven't you made me a mod? Seems like the perfect time after all these years. Make Myrrh the Mod when the ship is about to finish sinking.

I'm the only moderator left on the site.

Being the last Mod on a site that no longer even needs one doesn't mean that picking on people online, tryin' to grow that E-Wang, is acceptable. It's still just as childish now as it would have been when you were actually a seemingly decent fella and the site had more mods than it knew what to do with.

I think I can judge what I am or am not "better than".

You can be the smallest person in the world and still be the king of your own fantasy land.

But I guess them's the beans. You're a tool, Myrrh's a gimp (well, more like half gimp now), and I'm a jerk-off. Safe to say we all have our issues.

Technically, knowledge of Sam would not entail knowledge of TG, so while he might know Sam, he would not know that TG is not, in fact, just like Sam.

Knowing the quantity of X does not mean that Y /= X.

But if he knew Sam, then he might know TG.

Well, if he knows TG, then that's a different matter entirely. TG, however, denies that he is, in fact, known. Therefor, knowledge of Sam is irrelevant.

Wait, how is anyone ganging up on Ele? Because he didn't want to delete the comment he's on my side? And even if he was, how is 2 people a "Gang"? That's more a pair or a couple, not a gang.

Seems to be a few, I would say.

But definitely not a gang. No.. gangs are bad.

Wait, I'm not addicted to Rageahol anymore D:

Less teen angst and more zombie talk.

I'm in about $12 to Redbox so far. I should've just bought the damned thing.

This game makes me feel like a kid again. That is to say, I have uncontrollable bouts of anger, and want to destroy my controller after dying for the fifth time in the same place.

Ah, nostalgia.

I've yet to give this series a try, to be completely honest. I don't mind games that are difficult, but I'm leery of games where the difficulty curve is set by that catch-all category I like to refer to as "random bullshit". I can deal with failing because my skills aren't up to par; I despise failing because I just got unlucky, and I've honestly never gotten a really good bead on where this series falls in that regard.

Strid, I'm pointing out something that *everyone* who frequents this site knows.

Just like I'm now pointing out your penchant for knowing "it all" and showing it (forgive me, "showin' it") in a faux-folksy tone. Or that Myrrh is a rageaholic. Or that Raesvelg has a wealth of wisdom, but goes through bouts of self-loathing. Or that I'm a badass.

Whatever helps you sleep at night.

Well Demon's Souls I never felt a moment that I thought was cheap but there have been a couple things in Dark Souls I did feel were cheap. It is still a fantastic game. It helps if you treat certain play sessions as leveling and some play sessions as progress. When I decide to progress through the unknown it doesn't bother me as much if I lose some souls when I approach it in this manner.

The thing about Dark/Demon Souls is that it's not hard. It's made in that it makes you think. Sure some enemies can one hit you, some can be broken but they all can be defeated. All it requires is some thought and patience. These games aren't made for Bro-Gamers and I love that about them.

You should give it a whirl then. As Myrrh said, the game isn't really hard, it just makes you think. That said, you are going to fail until you develop strategies for damn near every encounter, that's why the whole "prepare to die" business. Demon's Souls I never felt had any cheap moments, Dark Souls has one or two that could be defined as such, but they're so simple I have a hard time calling them cheap. In short, the learning curve creates the difficulty, and it's a fairly high curve, but once you get it, you get it and it's glorious.
