What about Darker than Black, GantZ, Elfen Lied and Dragonaut? They all seem to be badass anyone else have opinions?

Well out of the ones you listed, I've only seen Elfen Lied. That was an awesomely good anime. I'll suggest picking up Kiddy Grade, its not quite as bloody as Elfen Lied, but it is a really good anime.

Im getting dragonaut as its released so I havent watched it yet. I have darker than black but havent gotten around to watching it yet. Elfen lied is amazing. 14 episodes i think but totally kick ass, bitches get messed up lol. And gantz is, as i told a friend of mine, fucktastic (amaing). I don't even know how to explain it, but its definitely made of win, as is elfen lied.

Anyone know the release dates on Dragonaut I checked it out and wiki'ed it, from what I understand it ends sometime in March? What days does it air so I can check on the stage 6 link I've been watching it from.
Also other then the ones suggested is there anymore that are those weird love stories like Elfen Lied and Dragonaut. I haven't found any recently that I have enjoyed as much as those. I'm not a big anime watcher but I do like some from time to time.

Hmm, well I'm not sure what kind of anime's your into, but since you said you don't really watch it much you may not have a preference yet. Though if you want a love story that's set in a fantasy world, has excellent character development and has a long story, then I would suggest picking up Fushigi Yugi: The Mysterious Play.
It doesn't have a whole lot of blood in it and I wouldn't really call it weird, but I found it to be a very enjoyable anime to watch (one of my favorites).
Also, no I don't think this is quite a ressurected thread. It was a decent topic and could use a continuation.

Darker than Black is definitely one of my favorite animes from 2007.
Dragonaut I couldn't seem to get into, watched the first episode and it just didn't grab me.
Elfen Leid... To be honest, I watched the first half or so and put it down.
And Gantz is, of course, freakin' awesome... except the ending. Read the manga.
