Does anyone know one? (I mean person, not program)
Was looking for a .DAT but can't find it anywhere, after looking for quite a long time. Figured I'd see if any of the local editors here would be willing to take a request.

Have you tried making a request on the .dat hunter forms on ffxidats.com?
http://www.ffxidats.com/forums.php?m=topics&s=5 Sometimes the people there can locate a particular .dat file. There is another section where the non .dat talented people can make requests.

There are a few people on QCDN who have done or did .dat editing.

What kind of modification did you have in mind?

Mainly just removing some parts from a piece of armor so it looks like there's nothing where it was. i.e. if someone wanted to remove the band from a subligar, or such.

If it's just editing out a part of an equipment piece, that's not too hard to do, infact anyone with the know with Alpha Mapping within GC3 could easily do it. Post what you want editing and I'm sure I could do it.

If I remember I think you can find the .dat through model viewer export to metasequioa etc and mess around with the texture in photoshop and such. I never got around to doing any .dat editing never felt like figureing it out. I might later in the feature edit some weapons but then again I might uninstall FF11 soon.
