So, I don't know how to mess around with .dats, I was hoping someone could help me out or tell me how to do this and the procedure etc.

I want to switch Darkness (Skillchain) .dat with Cosmic Elucidation (from Tenzen) .dat, but have no clue how to. Anyone ever play around with the .dats or know how to switch those two in particular? Any help is greatly appreciated, I'd want the outcome to be somewhat similar to this:

I don't know how to do it manually, but this can help you do it automatically.
 
that vid was pretty kewl. i didnt know you could change the SC dats too.
 
Cosmic Eludication is ROm/152/40, Darkness is ROM/13/22; should just be an easy swap.

Edit: just tried it and it looks like it's worked when I'm checking through Altanaview; I can check later if it works in the game.

Spell swapper is definitely the way to go. <3 that program. Once you've switched, you may want to test it out in a non-crowded area, last time I tried having Cosmic Elucidation as a replaced dat it was slightly glitchy.
 
It only works if your race is Hume. The SC effect gets fucked up if you're any other race.

Tenzen was a hume male, so SE just made a hume male Cosmic Ellucidation SC graphic, they didn't think it was gonna be performed by any other race/gender, so it doesn't exist for anyone else.
 
Okay, so I got it to work....on Altana Viewer, Darkness shows up as cosmic elucidation effect, and cosmic elucidation shows up as darkness effect.

Now, does anyone know that one great katana WS tenzen uses where he sort of jumps up and slashes at you a few times, then returns to his original position? I remember seeing it in a video, but I can't find it.

I looked through all the Altana View effects, found all of tenzen's stuff, (motions, ws, etc) but it wasn't there. :/
