Day 1 on the new server...

For those who were curious:

Since I am a tard I started playing FFXI again until WoW comes out. Anyway my lv 15 character logged in when the servers came back up. Here's the first 3 mins:

Zone: Valkrum Dunes
/shout Weee!
Gims: Weee!
The Goblin Mugger hits you for 90 damage.
The Goblin Mugger hits you for 64 damage.
The Goblin Mugger hits you for 75 damage.
Gims was defeated by the Goblin Mugger.

So I homepoint in Selbina and find a group in the Dunes, about four hrs later I'm lvl 18 on THF. A truely amazing thing compaired to when I did it a year ago. My ass skirts to jueno.

During this I was doing /sea X lvl, everyone 70 and up was in Jueno and maybe about 600 players, gussing. I think during my random /sea all there were 2500 players total at anytime. Most lvling spots were empty so lvling in the Dunes was a pleasent surprise.

Jueno was full of /shouts for HNMLS LS. The AH was already alive and mostly everything was for sale. Things were more expensive, although not as bad as I thought. Scorpion Harness was 5 mil for instance. The tenshodo invite was 5k gil. Sadly Behemoth Knifes weren't 1 gil, I should send a /tell to Krius.

I hooked up with Keits' LS and logged due to the maintence going on.

So far though this server feels much "nicer" for some reason maybe its something in the air... wasabi on the balls or something...[/b]

I logged on and began to level my new character- Narell- level 4 hume thief. So far I've gotten woodworking to 3 and fishing to 1, too. What I was feeling wierd about was the lack of ppl to talk to. My friend was supposed to migrate and start his LS but unfortunately he wont be on his computer for about 1-3 months. But yea, it seems fresh. The ah in sandoria is really really empty though. I sw maybe 5 different staves, 2 clubs (i was browsing the AH). All the exploits that were completely over done on the other servers are still overdone on this server though. Ex. the carpenter's guild had 7 ppl in it and most of the lumber was gone as soon as it opened. Overall, I think the new server is OK but still kinda disappointing.

The server is overall nicer, at least. I had a run-in with a Rank 9 asshole jp though...invited him to a party and then said I'm sorry when my LS mate logged on right after. The ass kept saying like english death leave in the auto-translator.

Searched for someone to replace some other member of the party, and checked his search comment. Had a bunch of japanese and it said "Rudger Spam King" in it. I told my LS this and Naffenu sent a tell to him calling him a child via auto-translator. His search comment then changed to:

One week later...

Roofles.

Ok so I've got most jobs back to 20.

But anyway. PTs so far weird, its like 20% of the server isnt 70+ so lvling zones arent overcrowed. Instead of taking a pt to the outpost in Yutunga, we can park outside and get good xp. Its like the first month of the NA release. Best of all theres hardly any ppl partying so most ppl dont sit around lfg for hours. Actually seems to be a good mix of jobs so its not like were waiting around for a WHM for years. V. Dunes parties are actually fun. Best of all I got jpn pts again, havent seen jp only or NA leave shit yet. This is what the game was like when it first came out.

Powerlvling is a problem, i quickly ditch any pt that has a pl. The dude sponsering it doesnt mind that the whm is whm/mnk or other screwed up things. When I was doing war I got sick of not being to provoke so i get skillups. Its not that bad but still, I really feel sorry for qufim groups.

Its not all smelly roses though.

The economy is in utter shit mode, the first week wasnt bad, but after the conquest update, nearly every zone is under BST control, guess what no crystal drops. Fire and other assorted shit is nearly 5k a stack now. Of course this spreads to other things, Mithkabobs are 4-5k a stack now.

Lower lvl items 60 and under are fooking expensive, while endgame stuff is cheap as hell. I guess since theres 3000 70+s they already have all this crap. Like the Balmung is only 1 mil. Kracken is just 20mil. Its not that bad though I manage, already made 200k since I started playing again and just unlocked telescrolls along with RSE crap so $_$ soon.

Krius sold his beh knife to some tard for more then 1 gil.

As for the rest of the server most ppl are nice, some new guide came out spreading bs though like casting water on a crab heals it. Other then misinfo the new players are fun to be with.
