Day 1 over, and no Chocobo.

Ok, I just got the cut scene for day 1 (24 real life hours, on the dot) and, sadly, my egg did not hatch. What does this mean? Well, it means that my egg did not hatch, not much more, because it may be different for other people. However, I did take a screen shot of the message you get with the cut sceen, just to prove that I did not pull this out of nowhere.

So, all hope is lost for today. Perhaps tomorow my little egg will hatch.
 
Aww, no choco? It better hatch soon, i'm relying on you to give me the scoop on how to raise one! LOL
 
Didn't they say it can take some time? ;x
 
eh...I'm kinda with [GM]Dave...people are freaking out too much about a chocobo :P Just wait and enjoy it >.>

I'd laugh if we waited something like a month for the egg to hatch and when it hatches....their is another little egg just inside it slightly smaller. Or the little mithra selling the eggs labelled them wrong and they were fish eggs. Or this whole thing would be just one big hype made for an experiment (therefore no chocos) and we got compensated with something crap like 100 gil. (what do you expect this game makes you waste ridiculous time to learn nothing with other quests) :shok:

Be funny if everyone has been crowding around, and oh wait, there is an option in a sub menu to hatch it D:

Jeeze you're supposed to come back once a day to check a choco if I remember descriptions given by SE right.
I could personally care less how much time it takes to hatch cause i'll be experimenting with choco's on my mules anyway.(for some weird reason it seems theres no minimum requirement to breed choco)

But you have to be able to get to Jeuno to get an egg. Chances are, that will be atleast level 20.

1.) No what you need is to know how to not get aggro.

2.) THis is not mentioning I could always cheat and use some silent oils since sight aggro is easy to get past.

3.) I doubt all those lv 1 jueno mules have an alternate job at lv 20+

If you have a mule at Jeuno, I sure hope you have atleast one character at 20+. No newbie is going to know how to not get aggro, or about silent oils and prisim powders.
There wont be any newbies with eggs, dont worry.
 
1.) When did i even mention that newbies would get eggs? I mentioned there was no minimum level requirement possibly and as such people could raise chocobo on mules for breeding ect.
2.) every once in a while there is a smart newbie and ive heard of multiple occasions where a newbie went to jueno to see what it looked like before they even made it to level 10. Getting out of jueno however was a different story.
3.) it's not that tough to figure out what silent oils and prism powders do after you see em in action the first time but i wasnt even talking about a newbie using em to get to jueno so your piont well.... you argued vs the wrong thing.

Or one of those regular pink birds will pop out and poop a fire crystal before flapping away into the sunset.
 
I'd find it funny if a yellow chick pops out so people get upset and pissed and go to start all over with their chocobo raising to get a new colour, then the next time they raise a blue one to full and later on they learn that any yellow baby choco grows into a Golden Chocobo with incredible abilities. :D
 
ALL babys come out yellow. >.>

And I doubt any chocobos abilitys will be that spectacular. Chocobo racing will be the rage, then after a few months it will fade out with people only raising for the whistle and free rides.
