This is not a flame, so please do not move this thread to the flameboard or regard as such.


To the leaders and members of Absolution,

First let me apologize to the open nature of this letter, it is not my intention to bring any more publicity to the matters I am going to discuss. However, I wanted a venue that a decent portion of your members could read.

I am pleading with you to not adhere to, but at least take notice of the Dynamis scheduling forum of these boards. I understand there is no sanctions on the reservation of dynamis zones and as far as Square Enx is concerned, such zones are "first come first serve" But rather, I am appealing to you guys because unlike you, many of us don't have the time to commit to end game like you can. I cannot speak for all shells, but as far as I can tell, no one in my shell competes with you for HNMs.

Dynamis is the only form of orgainized gaming I have, and I truly understand your position on the matter, but I know I am not alone in saying that I look forward to the limited northland runs we have. Please, try to understand our position, we are not out there with you trying for HNMs, we are not tying to take that away from you. But with the limited play time many of us have, scheduling is the only option for us, and we choose dynamis because its an orgainized activity where scheduling works.

Considering that to be sucessful in endgame, you must have alot of free time, and be ready to move at a moments notice, I am asking that you could at the very least look at these boards and try not to take zones that we have been looking forward to for a month. Im sure that there are many instances during the week where no windows are open and you could spend that time in dynamis. Likewise, i am sure there has to be some point during the week where your members are available and no other shell runs.

If this letter is falling on deaf ears then so be it, but I refuse to believe that you can't understand how frustrating this is for us, I want your members to go to Xarcabard and get get gear, Im not trying to take that away from you or ask you to give that up. All im asking is for a little consideration for the rest of our community.

The sniping also leads to shells who do adhere the scheduling resorting to the same douchbaggery. From what I understand a shell that was planning to do Beaucdine had it sniped by absolution. This shell in turn went to Xarcabard instead resulting in our shell having to wait a good hour over our start time to enter Xarcabard.
 
They could have chose an empty zone, that was their choice to make you enter late. No one is forced into sniping a different zone, tho I have talked this morning with Motley and he handled it very well and are going to see what can be done.
 
Maybe if you would unban renze he could look at the scheduling forum
 
Props to you Mot on this post. It's a rare treat to see an attempt at working something out in this fashion. I hope it works out for you.
 
Well, Im sure some people may disagree with me, but this issue arose out of our conscious decision to limit ourselves. We designed and adhered to a system that we all thought would make things "fair".

Unfortunately, that conscious decision also gave us a conflict with anyone, not just Absolution, that decided to run a zone without consulting the board.

Anyway, I did have a discussion with sev as a result of this open letter. Sevv has proven to me anyway, to be a decent person when not confronted with resentment and hostility. And he has agreed to try to find a solution that works for everyone.. I explained the situation further and he acknowledged the hardships of the system and the time constraints of the non-endgame player.

Sevv is good people. One of the things I hate the most about this game is how having a certain linkpearl next to your name changes the way everyone treats you.
 
yes they aren't all bad, but you cant deny that, as a whole, they bring the scorn on themselves and at the same time enjoy the infamy.

Normally i agree, people shouldnt be defined by the pearl they wear. It's not really your fault if someone in your shells scams someone for their personal gain etc. The difference here tho, is that sevv still gains from every shitty move absolution makes. It really is guilty by association, cause he gets a payout everytime they bot or steal something.

So while i absolutely would agree that sevv seems like a reasonable guy, i think its kinda farfetched to call him good people.

We are not discussing Sevv's personal reliability, nor are we discussing anything regarding the way Absolution conducts their business other than regards to dynamis.

I am trying to diplomatically solve a problem on behalf of My shell, as well as any shell that runs Saturday night, or any night for that matter. Sevv has communicated to me to be someone who is willing to discuss options.

No one knows what will come of this, if nothing comes of this then so be it. But I believe this is the best avenue to reach any kind of solution at all.

Being banned was something Renze did himself. He got hiss 30 day for not being able to handle the rules and just made it worse for himself by making 4 different accounts. A simple read through the rules when you get on a site isn't that hard, and he broke a good handful of them. Him being unbanned is out of the question.
 
Update, I discussed two options with Sevv and both were shot down by Renze


Both options involved time slots where no other shell ran that would give them free pick of zone, Sunday 4PM and Thursday 4PM or 12AM.


Ill continue looking for options.

These are the times that no shell runs

Monday: 4-8 PM, 12:30AM
Tuesday: 3:30-7PM
Wednesday: 4-7:30, one shell runs at 10PM but otherwise 11:30PM all other zones are free
Thursday: 4-8 PM, 12AM
Friday: 4-8PM
Saturday: Shells running from 2PM all the way until 10PM, and im sure many JP shells run the rest of the day.
Sunday: 2 shells run at noon, but a small window exists from 3:30-8PM where no shells run.

Members of Absolution, please pass this on to your forums for discussion, and please be considerate. There are tons of options here. Saturday runs are simply not going to be possible without conflict, as 10 shells have scheduled that day.

Please put this up to serious discussion.

I sincerely believe that these options are mutually beneficial, I hope you can pick from these.

As a leader of xXMutinyXx the last NA shell to run on Saturdays at 10cst, there are 1-3 jp shells that follow us. One is at least 64 people strong i do believe.
 
yeah, its pretty clear that Saturdays are doomed to have nothing but conflicts, hopefully out of one of these other windows at least one of them works well enough.

There are shells currently running 4-8pm Friday
