Dear Mr. McCain:

I completely understand why you feel this way and I agree with you 100%. This is why I am forced to admit something to you. Unfortunately, I have not told the proper authorities yet, but I plan to do so. I am the first-hand cause of mass genocide. I have killed of millions upon millions of unborn children and it seems that I continue to do so a couple of times a week. I understand that this is completely unacceptable and I'm willing to take proper punishment for my actions once you are president and sign that "pro-life" bill into law.

What people don't seem to understand is it doesn't matter if a woman doesn't want to have a child or doesn't want to give a child up for adoption or ruin her current life by bringing a child into it. It doesn't matter if it was an accident or if it was a mistake and the woman wants another chance. These devil worshiping sinners of Satan don't deserve a second chance! They definately don't deserve any privacy. What they deserve is to be shot. They need to be forced to have that child! It doesn't matter that if a child is forced into adoption, they have a poor chance of experiencing the love and warmth of a normal family or ever knowing their real parents. We don't need to hear any nonsense about how a unborn child doesn't has any human traits (or traits of animal that acts on more than just instinct) until the end of the second trimester.

That's all scientific hogwash! I bet these are the same scientists that made up that evolution stuff and that bogus stuff about how that world is billions of years old and how the dinosaurs and humans didn't live at the same time. Those idiots seriously need to read their bibles. That's the only REAL history book.

You're on the right track but you don't need to stop their, sir. Every time these women are on their period, they are killing thousands of pre-conceptual children. Don't those children have rights too? What about people like myself, who kill thousands of sperm all of the time without any regard to how they might feel if they were to become children? It's ridiculous! We need to stop this madness as well. I've come up with a plan that will save this country and I hope you will agree with it.

1: Each man must donate sperm once in their life and they are never allowed to masturbate ever again. Any man who masturbates will be considered a mass-murderer and punished accordingly.

2: No man or woman is allowed to have sex. Women must go to sperm banks in order to have children.

3: Women are not allowed to go on their periods. They must stay on birth control at all times. Besides, all of us Christians know that women who go on their periods are all sinners of Satan.

4: No person may say the word "abortion". If he or she does, then they are to have their sexual organs removed. If they say it then they are definitely thinking it. ;) Gotta keep those evil-doers in their place.

5: Women who have already had abortions must be legally labeled as murderers and sex offenders and serve their time.

6: We must get rid of all non-Christian books that support abortion, including any reference books that mention scientific information on it.

I think that's about it for now. You're going to be a great president, Mr. McCain and I hope you take my ideas into consideration.

That's a shame, running for the Replican nomination is going to cost him a lot of votes in the presidential election, if he gets the nod. That's my biggest gripe with the Republican party, a national candidate can't get anywhere without kissing the asses of a few extremists, aka the evangelists.

Well, considering that even in right wing states that an abortion ban would fail, it's probably better that it's finally settled through the legislature because the courts were overstepping their boundaries in the first place. Same deal with gay marriage, make that a legislative issue and it'll be legal in 10 times the amount of places and the rest of America will catch up eventually.

By the way, touchy issue, and not all pro-life proponents are religious. As well, mocking the opposition with ridiculous arguments only makes your own view look bad by making your side look immature.

I was going to specify about all of that but I assume people understand it's a joke. I respect people who don't approve of abortion but I don't respect the views of the people who feel it should be legally enforced before the second trimester. Ron Paul, for example, disapproves of abortion but he doesn't feel it's the federal government's job to mess with people's personal lives.

Roe v. Wade = win

The inability to respect people's views that are based on their moral convictions shows a lot of immaturity on your part. While I don't think abortion should be necessarily outlawed, I do believe a fetus can be argued as an individual and therefore see why it might need certain rights, just the same as a baby. As it stands, it's easy for liberals like you to approve of abortion and poke fun at the death of a fetus because you don't consider it a living being or at the very least a life form of lesser value than yourself.

By that same standard, if I didn't consider your life to be particularly valuable, maybe I wouldn't mind if someone denied your right to life. See where I'm going here?

Popular culture and the progressive movement have made it an extremely hostile environment to anyone who thinks pro-life. People like you prefer to make easy low-blows than consider it on any deeper level then make assumptions like people who are pro-life are religious nuts who would want to remove your genitalia or people who have some sort of resentment towards women. Worst of all the assumption that people are pro-life out of a desire to punish the pregnant woman rather than protect the child.

So yeah, even if you disagree there's no need to disrespect, it's simply very immature and showing the sophistication of a child.

Busta: We get it, you arent right-wing.

By the way, is that your little letter to him. If that is your argument for pro-choice, I'd feel bad for you if you ever come against an actually well-versed ethicist who is pro-life. I am pro-choice by the way.

This title made me thing of that Bloodhound Gang song.

Dear Mr. McCain
I'd like to explain
I'm your biggest fan

I just wanted to ask
Can I eat your ass
Write back as soon as you can

You've had a lot of dick
had a lot of dick
I've had a lot of time
had a lot of time
You've had a lot of dick Mr., but you ain't had mine

I'm pro-choice, personally. I think someone like a rape victim should be able to choose whether to have their child or not. (sorry if that sounds morbid)

Furthermore, even making a decision like that would be heavily weighty on one's conscience; I personally think them having to live the rest of their life wondering if they made the right decision or not is more than enough "punishment" as it is. =/

And this is just an opinion, not arguing points or anything.

*edit* Cmdr, you're right XD That's so horrible.

Wow. Good to see that abortion is still a well-contested topic. It's also a pretty personal topic for me.

I don't consider myself to be pro-life or pro-choice. I'm more of a pro-mindyourowngoddamnbusiness.

When we were 16, my wife and I put up with being called "murderers" and all kinds of other nasty and slanderous names by her family because together we made the choice to abort a pregnancy that we were much too young and unprepared to handle. At the time this was a most difficult decision for us to make, but it was the right choice for us (those of you that have children know what an awesome responsibility they are). In the end we are stronger for having made our own choice and standing by each other.

A decade later we finally decided we were ready to have a child. Wouldn't you know it but those same family members were beating down our door to see our daughter, all convictions of moral superiority forgotten. The damage has been done, however, and no apology was ever made. The relationship between us and those people will never be what you could call good.

People like the man linked in the OP want to take some of our freedom away from us. Granted, he wants to hand the decision regarding abortion back to the state governments, but he's still talking about a Constitutional Amendment. I just don't agree with that. Would those same people allow someone to amend the Constitution to take away their right to freedom of religion?

Would you not fight it if someone wanted to make an amendment to take away your freedom of speech? How about your right to bear arms?

why stop at making abortion illegal?

why not get rid of womens rights too?

thats pretty much what these republicans wanna do really =/

I'm actually a libertarian which is normally considered to be closer to conservative views than liberal. Liberals are all about increasing taxes so the government can provide everything for people. I'm completely against that and therefore am far from being a liberal. In fact, Ronald Reagan once said that libertarianism is "the very heart and soul of conservatism". Reagan also spoke very highly of Ron Paul, who is a republican.

You can call me immature all you want. I don't respect the views of a thief who thinks it's ok to steal whatever they want from whoever they want, either. That doesn't mean I think that person is horrible. I just don't like what they do and how they feel about those actions. I don't respect the views of people who try to justify all of our wars, either. I honestly don't see how that is being immature. If I were to call that person evil and say they need to be locked up for thinking such things, then I'd be able to see your point. Otherwise, I think I'm being about as mature as one can possibly be.

No, I don't actually think every Christian or every republican is a "pro-life" evangelist. I was making a damn joke. I don't really think too poorly of McCain. I respect some of his views. I wouldn't want him to be president, though. I guess that makes me immature as well, huh?

i dont understand this at all

if the government doesnt provide it you have to go to a company and pay them to

if the government does provide it you have to pay more taxes to cover the cost

either way your paying

i guess it comes down to choosing the lesser of two evils

Rights are a funny concept in the debate of if abortion is moral or immoral. In order to uphold the rights of the mother, we're required to say that the baby has no rights at all.

Raising a child is a great responsibility, and it's a shame that so many are so damn terrible at it, of course it's also a great responsibility to end a potential life.

It's simple really. Once you understand that everyone, on all sides of the isles has a set of beliefs that are based on their own moral scheme of right and wrong, you realize that the only true villains in modern politics are people that are intolerant of other people's ideals. Be they right wingers in the south saying democrats are unpatriotic, or some half-brained, saggy tit chunky new england liberal college girl saying Bush is a murderer or some Muslim bombing people who refuse to follow his religion... they're all the same person in the end.

They're people who aren't smart enough to see an issue from all sides. They're the enemy.

There's 2 definitions of a liberterian:
1 - The standard liberterian, basically a republican that doesn't want to force their beliefs onto others.
2 - The young liberterian, someone that loves to smoke pot and bad mouth the government.

The normal liberterian is great for government, fighting for the rights of citizens. The ones that join because they want to legalize pot do more harm than good.

Totally unbaised representation of two stereotypes.

Hehe, I jest. I agree with you.

Realize I'm harder on the liberal but I'm a New Englander and here, the religious types and the conservatives are extremely moderate and tolerant and the liberals are bat shit crazy.(I'm not far from Boston.) If you express a conservative view, people will be offended. I'm sure if I was in Texas I'd feel slanted the other direction.

This really isn't something that I'm willing to discuss on account of it being a colossal show of disrespect to try and convince someone that your morals are right and theirs are wrong. I voiced my opinion based on my own experience, and a person in possession of even the faintest shred of empathy will be able to infer at least some of the reasons for our decision.

That is all.

Personally I feel that the right for a child to grow up in a safe and loving environment and the rights of the choice for the parents outweigh the right to life of a small ball of cells.

I see what you're saying, Firestreak, and I agree with you. Perhaps I was being a bit harsh.
