Deathsreturn NM stealer extraordinaire

The if its yellow rule never applied to popped nms unless there was a wipe. otherwise, Claim that fellow!
 
what an asshole.. i dont think its right stealing no matter what unless u died... but a popped nm..........? wtf man.. well at lst he died and got what he deserved

I'm not sure on this, it's been quite awhile, but...

Some time ago, Mattimer quit and sold his account to a personal friend of his. I knew Mattimer only vaguely, but I know the person who bought it quite well. Later, the second owner of Mattimer quit and sold the account on eBay or some place like that. The buyer paid by credit card, got the passwords, changed the passwords, then reported the charge as fraudulent. The buyer didn't pay anything to the seller as a result, and just raided the gil and equipment from the account.

The name Deathsreturn sticks out to me on this matter. The name was certainly Death<something>, so if I'm wrong I profusely apologize. The drama worked its way onto the QCDN flameboard (of course), so perhaps someone else remembers this.
 
Hmmm, no friend defense here. If he really did this, Deathsreturn needs a solid kick up the ass. Pretty pathetic, especially given we run Gration every few months.

Lol I tend to be concerned at anyone with Death in their name, still nice to see the this one players attempted theft ended up in death for him. Poetic justice. :)
 
Death has been in our shell (theflock) for long time. He goes through periods where he is not playing the game. But when he has been on he has always seemed to be a good guy, so this somewhat surprises me.

I have not had seen him in the game since this post was made. When he does come back on I will ask him about this situation.


We do not approve of any of theflock members being apart of trying to steal mobs. As BSTs we have had little respect from so many in this game regarding mobs we have claim on that eventually go white because of how the hate system is designed. It saddens me to think that any of our members would treat others in that manner. We cannot control every member in our shell but if something is brought to our attention we try to look into it.


I am sorry for what happened. And am glad that everything worked itself out in the end.

Ah, duely noted. My apologies to Deathsreturn. Similar names trip me up at times, especially the umpteen-million spellings of Sephiroth.

It used to be the practice of many endgamers to take NMs that go yellow, but back in the day there were alot of instances that an NM going yellow meant that they weren't doing too good of a job with it (happenned alot at Ullikummi)

But since then the new hate system that was implemented can create situations where you can be doing everything right and still lose hate, i think this is an example of one of those times.

Just kinda a follow-up before this thread falls into obscurity, has anyone talked to Deathsreturn or seen him since? I kinda wanna hear his side of this or at least a half assed defense.

TF leadership is keeping an eye out for him, but so far he has yet to be spotted
