With the release of each version update, Vana'diel continues its transformation into an ever more adventurer-friendly realm. In staying true to this tradition, the development team is working hard on a host of adjustments and additions that will allow our players to focus on what they do best: adventuring!

Chariot, Empress, and Emperor Bands
To date, recharging these items required that adventurers call upon guard NPCs located within designated conquest areas and towns. Depending on their current job level, however, adventurers may find these areas to be a considerable time and distance away from their current base of operation. To address this inconvenience, West Aht Urhgan and Past Vana'diel are scheduled to be added to the list of rechargeable locations for the bands. The price of the service in these new locations will be consistent with that of existing areas.

Treasure Coffers and Chests
That these mysterious containers house an assortment of highly sought-after items such as artifacts and maps is no secret. Such is their popularity among adventurers that those who seek them wishing to acquire the aforementioned items are often left frustrated by others who have different spoils, namely miscellaneous items and gil, in mind. The December version update will see the respawn time for coffers and chests significantly cut specifically for those in the hunt for items such as artifacts and maps.

Jeuno
Recent adventurer lifestyle-related improvements made to town areas have focused mainly on the three nations. In light of current adventuring trends in Aht Urhgan and the recent influx of new adventurers, the spotlight has been cast once more upon Jeuno. Adventurers can look forward to the following changes during their visits to the duchy following the December version update:
- The sales tax imposed on bazaars will be abolished in all areas of the duchy.
- Teleportation to Aht Urhgan Whitegate will be available for mercenaries via the Salaheem's Sentinels representative NPC in Upper Jeuno.

Good bye Batallia flee market??

Other then that, this update looks

The coffer thing is <3 for my ranger, but nothing can top the private dungeons announcement for me.

Very nice. Maybe put them in Ru'Lude Gardens around the fountain. That way they are right there when you use the Aht Urghan > Jeuno teleport. It's a pretty decent-sized area, no one rarely ever goes down there except for a handful of rank missions, and it's right there as you hit Jeuno.

On another note, if you guys haven't done your Lure of the Wildcat[Jeuno] might wanna get cracking. =)

Good deal. I talked to all those NPCs back when "Wildcat" came out, and now the effort finally is justified.

Hello Slums of Lower Jeuno wares-hawking!

Christ, I hope not. That's one of the appealing things about Ru'Lude Gardens; the lack of people.

same lol

Batallia Downs will never disappear. The "problem" is it's considered a staple now and it's very unlikely to change nor should it really. The place is easily accessible and well known, if you're to bazaar somewhere else, you're going to make it more tedious for the customer to find you by splitting up the areas they need to check. If that was the case and again, I doubt it will be, you'd only be losing traffic through your bazaar and end up selling slower.

Nice additions, but as usual, these are additions that really should have been done a long time ago.

The palace would be a way better bazaar area. Almost noone enters there except for cut scene related stuff for missions and it's just far enough away from where the more common activities in rulude take place.( aka they're too far away to showup on the screen and create lag.)

It's been mentioned multiple times and as mediocre as it is, holy shit it's fucking time.

If they're cutting down the respawn time for coffers, wouldn't this make "coffer farming" for gil/items more popular, which would only increase the competition people have for wanting coffer spawns? Or did I understand this incorrectly?

Hmmm not bad, I gotta agree with Zerayla on the last part tho....=/

Well, they say this tidbit
coffers and chests significantly cut specifically for those in the hunt for items such as artifacts and maps.

Maybe coffers will just spawn quicker if someone in zone has an AF quest active or game recognizes that they don't have a certain map of an area.
Kinda like how Miser Murphy pops when a RDM with AF3 quest in log zones into Fei'Yin, maybe unopenable by others who don't fit those requirements until said person(s) leave the area.

I'm not seeing the private dungeons thing.

Is Dynamis getting instanced or?

Sup Dynamis groups gathering. I know it's a bit away but still that's a lot of ppl in the one zone..

I figured that inside the palace was just far enough away for them not to load when dynamis groups gather. If it isnt far enough away then maat can get a few visitors.

@concerns about coffer spawns:

so now, what keeps someone from having an AF quest open taking a buddy with him to farm the coffers rapidly? There's gotta be a tradeoff somewhere.

It'd crack me up if coffers in zones where a person had an AF quest active ended up dropping shit drops 100% of the time.

*Player-A has AF quest active.
*Player-B is farming coffers.
*Player-B opens Treasure Coffer in front of Player-A.
*Player-B receives 1 gil, a rock salt, or a gysahl green.

I figured that inside the palace was just far enough away for them not to load when dynamis groups gather. If it isnt far enough away then maat can get a few visitors.

The Archduke says to all bazaaring folks:

"You damn kids get offa my lawn!!"
