Hello, fellow users, trolls and lurkers of QCDN! In light of recent complaints about the "unjust" deletion of posts on the Flameboard, I've decided to sit down with everyone and go through exactly every deleted post in a particular thread. For this I have chosen Khajit's flame about LolD. No, no, you silly geese. Not because Khajit is my best friend, and not because I have anything against LolD either. But just simply because on the first page, I see right now that thread has the most deletes in it than any other ones. Well, what I'm going to do it open up another tab and view the deleted posts and quote what was said. I know many of you have zero trust in me, which is funny because if anything I tell the truth TOO much. Hopefully you can all put that aside and enjoy the unedited effort I'm putting into this.

I will also say this. There are 3 different moderators that have deleted posts in this particular thread. Not just one. Anyways...

It's coming along. My concern is more for what the shell wants as a whole. Also we are still adjusting things to make sure we can do everything we wants based off new droprates and glass prices. but i'm 1279/10000. ^.~

Minor derail there, a conversation much better suited for VMs and the like. Then we get all the way up to just after post #45 before our next delete. Seems like the guidelines are really starting to settle in. /joy

I should also say that this is an issue that has never been brought to me. The flameboard is really not the place to bring forth something like this when none of the leaders have heard about it. You know full well that i go out of my way to address any issues or problems, and you should have given me the courtesy to bring this to my attention first so i could address it.

You may ask yourself, uh... why was that deleted? Kohra posted twice in a row, different responses, but to the same quote by Tribalinius. I took my evil mod powers, deleted their second post and just added it to Kohra's first post in response to the quote. I also PM'd Kohra explaining what I had done. Exciting stuff. The next delete isn't until after post #65... this might be a record.

And there you have it ladies and gentlemen. The entire run down of every removed post from that whole entire flame. I really hope this gives you all a little more inside, especially those of you accusing the staff of just deleting "whatever we want." Although, we CAN do that, we don't. We follow our guidelines and we don't pick sides. If there's a problem and you can't understand why something was or wasn't deleted, feel free to always PM us, preferably in a polite manner and not all huffing and puffing telling us how to do our jobs. We are WAY more constructively responsive in that manner.

You guys can also help out and many of you have done so in the past. If there's something you feel needs to be gone or removed, hit that snazzy little report feature there on the post in question and bring it to our attention. We are not perfect and do have other things in our lives to do, so please just be patient and forgive us if we happen to miss a post or two in between.

Of course, but oh well. Nothing here was hidden or left out and for those that may choose to not believe it, good for them? There's always those conspiracy theorists and as long as they think that way, there's really nothing to do to change their minds. This was my idea and this was done on my own time so the more reasonable ones can see for themselves what myself and other staff members do exactly in the FB.

In all seriousness though, if post count has become the new e-peen gauge of QCDN to where people will gripe about a deleted post from the Flameboard, I will weep.

Not because of the ridiculous notion of it being an e-peen gauge, but because nobody will be able to remotely touch CmdrFly's stature, and I hate to think what the people bitching about deleted posts would say if they actually saw it.

Cause clicking a checkbox next to post(s) and clicking "Delete post(s)" is indeed a pretty vast amount of time and energy. Dunno why people seem to think that moderating is a timesink, it's really not. Guess they just need to try to needle the mods to make themselves feel better?

Its not. I read the threads already so its really not tough to click things as I go through and hit "done" at the end of a thread. Vast means a large range. I don't consider .5 seconds to be incredibly large.

What happened to anarchy reigning supreme??? If it were up to me, at least for the flameboard, unless it's a RL death threat or nudy pics I say leave it alone. Moderation, even well intented, completely ruins this forum. It's like watching the edited version of Roadhouse or Caddyshack on TBS. IT BLOWS WHEN IT'S CENSORED....

I agree other stuff should be moderated (ie End game forum should be end game posts, RDM forum should be RDM related questions and answers) but not the flameboard. It should just be a free for all whirlwind of chaos and stupidity! I'd go so far as to let every permabanned member of QCDN have flameboard access only just to trash it up real nice. Kind of like the internet version of the Jerry Springer Show.

It sure would be a lot more entertaining and I guarantee visits to QCDN would sky rocket. Just one mans opinion. Do what you want, your the moderators.....
