I was wondering if anyone knew of a limit as to how much stuff you can have waiting for you in your delivery box before it starts deleting because i came up with a plan for something ... entertaining to myself but it would require me to stack ~2400 items in my delivery box to make it work correctly.

I'm not sure if there is a limit, but here is what I do know: It keeps everything in memory for very extended periods of time. My friend sent me a set of HQ mining gear before he quit and it stayed in my inbox for about 3 months before I accidentally hit return to sender on them (I thought I was sending to a mule, don't ask). So I called a GM who as usual was absolutely clueless and entirely unhelpful, I left it at that since it wasn't really important and just assumed they were lost forever. Well, that friend came back after a year and a half of absence while his character had been deactivated to find them waiting in his inbox.

And what exactly is this plan?

I can tell you that at any given time I have 1 - 2 sets of lowbie gear in "Delivery Limbo". It's how I keep myself from having additional mules. It may sound like a pain in the ass, but it makes delivery so much faster since you can just return stuff to yourself, and your mule doesn't need to leave the MH. So the quick answer is I have kept 30+ items in Delivery Limbo and they're survived multiple maintenance windows unscathed (knocks on wood).

I've left over one hundred items in my DB on a mule for over a month before and none were lost.

The plan is not important i just want to make sure i dont lose anything that is mailed

I believe the number is 255 items. I been looking for the thread where they actually tested it, and I dont' remember what happens on item 256.

Deja, it was mentioned in one of the special events. The one where we got the lamp and set of dolls automatically in our delivery boxes. The Announcement on Playonline.com said that those with 255 items in their delivery box would be unable to obtain their items.

So what exactly are you doing with 2400 items in your delivery box? Wondering now that its obvious the trick wont work D:
