Demon gate FF VII

train hard and long, make sure cloud has climhazzard,(assuming tifa is in ur party) load her limit up beforehand, be ready to cure atany time, with whoever does and of course remember ur "All" materia

sorry guys the grammar was bad, i know, i get up on saturday at 6:00 go to swimming at 6:30 for an hour and a half......

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Aeris is the best for that boss ^^ her seal evil pwns it (If it's the one in the Temple)

yeah cureing is key :) i dont remeber having any problems with any boss in ff7 except ruby weapon and he only took like 2-3 trys

Definitely use bahamut somewhere in there, it's 3000+ damage.

I'd make aeris your magic offensive damegr dealer since she can't help much for melee, the better summons and spells.

Cloud has good magic potienal naturally from stats so giving him a few major elemental spells that might help alot, as well as have him limit break. Or give him some healing all-cure materia for mixing it up.

I'd make the 3rd character a pure melee damage dealer, like cid, barrett, or tifa. Tifa is best if your issue is beating it fast enough because of her awsome limit break. Putting barret with ranged attack in the back row with counter and cover materia works nicely throughout the game as well.

I'd highly recommand giving someone time magic and all materia so you can haste your entire party right off the bat. The same applies for all-barrier, which is a great help on this boss.

It depends on your level I think however, the tips above or good, but after playing the game through about 7 times, I've learned that boss is EXTREMELY difficult if you are not lvl 35 or above.

enter the ridiculous.... the retarded, the loser stupid lifeless zone, the Darkdominon realm.

here's how
start a new file.
get meteorain for the guard scorpion and have omnislash by the time you fight him.

or failing that here's my suggestion, from one who's put a solid 10k hours into the game. train your limit breaks up. this is a quick and easy process and your higher limits are devestating. the first limit of each level is obtained through kill scores, for this i kill my other 2 party members and put a strong magic-all combo on then go kill the weakest mobs i can find (I actually do this with the strongest but i'm hardcore about this game.) the second one is easy too, get aeris's limit fury brand. and giver her cover, kill the 3rd member of the party and with aeris and whoever taking lots of hits you'll be tossing limits off left right and center. the ultimate limit-gauge builder is

MANIPULATE VALRON'S and DIVE KICK YOURSELF

it'll put your limit gauge to full in about 3 hits and it works for any level range as it's gravity based.

enter with limit guages full and full hp.
make sure you have 900+ hp to survive his rock drops and start with regen all. toss off 3 limit breaks, my party is usually Cloud Barret Aeris. a good trick for this is to use vincent, if you have his level 2 or 3 limits he transforms into fairly powerful monsters with massive HP.
if you're stuggling have 2 people full-time healing and Great gospel is the greatest move ever. the 3rd is letting loose, limits fill near-instant... bahamut owns.

I liked having the mightyguard enemy skill for that, if you don't have that ES, then just use wall or something. It is a biz-nitch of a boss, and I remember being stuck on it for a while. Just manip some stuff and make it attack you and go in with full limit breaks, and maybe level up a little too. Not much you can do if you're too weak, I remember always training up untill I could kill enemys in every area in 3 hits or less.

although Arieth has some great limits, don't bother with her..........to avoid spoilers I won't say why.

But really, who doesn't know the spoiler?

whoa! necro thread! i'm so all over this!

my limit building tricks are 100% the most effective way to overcome enemies you normally can't, Great Gospel makes his damage irrelevant. meteorain or omnislash will cause overwhelming ownage. 'nough said? thought so... the geek has spoken.

never had a use for Aeris. Either i didnt get her final limit, and therfore she sucked, or i did, but by the time i'd done that, cloud had Omnislash, Tifa was a god, and Barret was a Cannon with legs, and she wasnt needed.

that, and i didnt like putting effort into a character only to loose her halfway through the game

Everyone else said train your ass off til you're a tank. That's all there is :P Plus you will be trained for later on. Hell, I had everyone on their 2nd Level 3 Limit Break fighting that.

myself i was warned not to go into the temple without proper equipment/items from a friend.

i fought him as cloud, red XIII, and vincent
i had cloud with summon materia and when he was done he would cure/pummel it with limit breaks, red would use the enemy skill beta over and over (trine is just as good if you have it) and vincent would haste+all then go into his limit break.

i beat it on my first try but i barely won

Cloud Cid and Barret forever!

Pfft, Barret. Vincent is your ultimate back up.

People don't understand that while you do lose control of him, he becomes so much stronger and his HP doubles, which is really good until the end of the game. Just don't put any command materia outside of E-Skill on him, and throw as much junk materia as you can on him to boost his offense.

Meh I never use characters by how strong they are, always pick my favorites, anyone can be made into a killing machine ^^ That being said, gogo Cloud, Vincent, and Red XIII :D
