PS3 Demon's Souls デモンズソウル

Nevermind, I figured that out. I have to kill NPC Black Phantoms or Player Black Phantoms. Can't do the NPCs atm so gonna have to rely on players. I have some more questions about this.

-Where do you get a Black Eye stone?
-Is it unlimited use or do you need many?
-Are there any penalties for losing when you invade another player?

If the stones are easy to get/unlimited and there are no penalties, does anybody wanna invade me a few times and let me kill them so I can raise my tendency for the Demonbrandt? lol

You get a black eye stone when you kill your first black phantom NPC. There's one towards the end of 3-1. It has unlimited uses. If you die by any other means than the player (IE: Falling off a cliff) you'll lose a soul level.

Mmm so it doesnt seem too hard to pull it off. Somebody wanna invade me and die to me a few times so I can raise my tendency? haha

Invasions are random. You set down your BES, and the game finds a world for you >:
Of course, if you do it at a low enough level (since you can only invade people within a certain level range), you'll get idiots who panic and result in an easy kill.

Although*
You can generally get invaded pretty quickly in Shrine of Storms. It's a popular grinding area, and there's generally a lot of black phantoms invading people who grind in human form.
Also, you can get white CT as a blue phantom, too. You just have to land the killing blow.

Explain more about the last part please. Im still a nub to the phantom stuff. What does that involve and how do I do it? xD I really wanna get my CT up so I can use this Demonbrandt which I took so long to figure out how to get at level 29 <_<

Is blue phantom when you go to help people? Can you atleast pick who you're doing that with? And if so can i use that with people I know to get my CT up?

Edit: And are you sure assisting as blue changes your CT? According to the wiki it changes the WT.

From what I've gathered looking at the guide that came with the Special edition, my best bet to get my CT up is to kill black phantoms who invade my game. So I need to figure out what the best place to get invaded is and learn to PVP if I wanna use my demonbrandt :<

Do I lose human form if a player phantom kills me? Cuz that'll be a pain going back if I lose anytime -_-

Blue phantom is when you are helping somebody else. I think your levels still have to be within a 10 level range. When you drop the blue stone when you are in spirit form anyone that is within 10 levels and is still in body form can summon you to their world.

Probably the only way to make sure you are getting somebody you want is to tell them where you are going to put your stone down so they can be there to activate it.

No idea about the tendency stuff. I haven't messed with any of that yet.

Never been invaded since I tend to run around in spirit form, but I'm pretty sure you would lose your body. I think if you invade somebody else and kill them you can get your body back. Or if you have any Ephemeral Eye stones, those give you your body back too. They are kind of rare though. At least as far as I've gotten in the game anyway.

Yeah I used one to get my body back, I'm gonna camp some black phantoms this weekend. I want my fully powered Demonbrandt :<

(You'd think DEMONbrandt would need you to be dark CT to be strong)

Killing an invading Black Phantom, whether in your own world or someone elses, raises your CT. However, it HAS to be the killing blow. I farmed up my white CT by helping people over and over with Old Monk and landing the killing blow with my Dragon Bone Smasher.
The black phantoms that raise WT are the npc Black Phantoms, which spawn at pure black WT.

Was just invaded for the first time while running to the merchant in 3-1 with 50k+ souls so I could get a ring of avarice. The guy carried around a giant sword that almost killed me, but luckily i lured him to a narrow corridor and soul arrowed him to death.

Just got invaded again, this guy was smarter, unfortunately I was standing behind him when he popped.

More CT up, my demonbrandt has effectively doubled my attack power now :D

Edit: Hahahahahahahaahaha I was sitting waiting at the Archstone with my Demonbrandt, guy invaded. Smashed him in 2 hits before he could even get started. Now my sword is even stronger, Next one is gonna be a one shot :)

Edit2: Yep, last one got 1 shotted. Bitches don't know about my Demonbrandt :P Now its fully powered too.

I would have saved those 50k souls. You get a free Ring of Avarice in 3-2 before the boss fight.

Just starting with this game, but man I can tell how it will suck the hours away. I finished beating the Phalanx boss and farmed the first area up to level 10. I have Uncharted 2 sitting next to me but I can't pull away from Demon's Souls. :) Time to rustle up some dinner and get back to slaying.

Spoiler:
If you get the red dragon down to ~25% health in the first area he will run away. This allows you to get some very nice stuff (Flame Ring, Flame Shield, Renowned Spirits, etc). My strength is still too low to properly equip the shield.

Edit: Went into 1-2 and dinked around. Ended up killing the red dragon. He gives you ~6500 souls, plus some scales. When used, the scales give you ~10,000 souls. Getting past the two blue eyed knights while archers bombard you from above and from ground level was a little difficult. Made it to the fog that has you fight the big knight. I decided to go back to the nexus and spend some of my earnings before I risk dying in the boss battle.

I am not 100% sure of the best skills to upgrade. Endurance seems to be the best skill to pump up.

You can get those items without hurting the dragon too. Just have to time your running correctly and you can get all the items without getting hurt.

Me too..

Um, my Demonbrandt just 1 shot the Armor Spider boss. Broken much? :<

Well I think I need a break. I am approaching burn out. Cleared 1-1, 1-2, 2-1, 3-1, and 5-1 in the last day. Tried 4-1 and getting the timing down on those rolling skeletons was a little tricky. Found the Istarelle spear but can't equip it yet. Being invaded adds some nice excitement. I ended up dying on the 5th invasion but after ~5 minutes of dueling I ended up rolling off a platform to my death. Boo.

Can't afford it so rented it from blockbuster with my cousin and we're having a blast playing it through the night.

We picked Knight, pretty casual, but I want to try a Archer later.

I have such a craving to play FFXIV and this game seems like it'll crunch my thirst.
