Despot and the Aug 27th Update

It IS good though, it just means altering your strategy a bit instead of 54 claimbots gathered around one of two holes emptied out at any given time waiting for the next repop. This means people have to actually participate to get the claim, just have to figure out the best way to go about doing that.

So does this mean... his 2 hr respawn will go away and he will "drop" like a water or diorite from any doll in the hallway, or does it pick a magical one to spawn from or the very next one to die after the 2hrs or what exactly?
 
I agree, this only helps RMT and not legit linkshells.

I think the only groups with an army of BLMs that can all Thundaga III in unison are RMT groups.

Like I speculated in the other topic, I assume it means he is going to pop like Biast, ie still have a window and the normal placeholders but after the correct one dies, he'll just pop a few seconds later claimed.

pretty sure still will have the 2-4 hour spawn time but instead of waiting 15min for him to spawn unclaim he will pop right as the doll dies. Alot like lumberjack or king Arther. (except claimed)

I mean, there's except, accept, and accepted. But I'm fairly sure excepted doesn't exist.
 
This will be interesting. If unclaimed Dolls will pop into a claimed Despot, I think most sky LS will begin to aga-burn them as well.

"Except" can be used as a verb meaning the same thing as "exclude." So excepted does exist as a valid form.

But the way it was used there isn't even marginally correct.

I'm not one to argue semantics... but this NM's name is a pun. And like all wordplay, it doesn't work if you don't spell it or use it correctly.

King Arthro = King Arthur (the mythological king) + Arthropods (insects, archanids, crustaceans, etc)

Now yeah, looking at the behavior of the NM (namely summoning Knight Crabs) that is what they were going for. But seriously, if you can't take the time and effort to proofread your texts, then you're better off just saying "that der crabby NM, that wat drops the Magical-type cussesss. lol I swore"

Please grow up a bit. If you're old enough to achieve all you have in FFXI then you're old enough to at least be mature enough to accept constructive criticism.

Why does it take an army of blm's to take down the dolls fast? Just because the RMT do it, doesn't mean it's the only way. I'm sure 1 blm could solo a doll(I might have to go try it to make sure), and 2 or 3 could easily kill fast. If I remember right my thunder 4 would take 1/4 life off a doll before I was merited. If you have rdm's and /rdm grav them and have Nin or /nin to kite multiple dolls, then blm's or even melee can pick them off one at a time leaving that kiter to go grab another one. You can monopolize them just as easy, just think outside the box. You may have to send a couple more than 6 but it's not like you need a full alliance, you could go with a full alliance and rape and pillage everything in sight too.

The Diaga thing will slow them down for 5 minutes up to even 15 but they will learn how to counteract it, and unfortunately, they always do.

Being a blm, I know we are gods, :bb: :biggrin: but jeez, get a different mindset than "if you can't kill fast enough throw a blm at it. If you're still not killing fast enough throw an army of blm's at it".

I assume the RMT are possibly using some kind of claiming bot up there so this is SE's way of fixing that problem. If it doesn't work they will probably change it on the next update. Maybe even change it to a pop item spawn like Ulli.
