Destiny intverview with development team "TGS '06" "update"

CMon lets be honest... theres only one sub at 75 and thats ninja. Quite frankly it not even /nin onry at 74+. It's /NIN ONRY at lv 20+. It's impossible to get those retards who use it to not use it ever after explaining point by point why its not a good sub to use. cmon a war trying to blinktank a mandy ain't exactly using your brain. Neither is using /nin for dual wield pre 24.

Oh well.. from now on when I level a job with something at those levels I'm gonna be the leader and order a person to use the proper sub or else I kick em after getting somone else.
calling it relic from now on huh? Aww.....I was hoping for the day everyone called it Super artifact ultra saiyan-jin 5 armour+1......

Easily remedied by making subbed Utsusemi not absolute. Hell, even main jobbed it doesn't make sense for it to be. If theres 3 of you, two images, mobs should have a 33% chance of nailing the correct one. This would also close the gap of the ninja/paladin arguement.

Or, more accurately, it would make Ninja a borderline worthless tank and make the argument 100% PLD.

Never said that I personally made it absolute but The playerbase as a whole will not LET another player use anything but ninja at 75.

After I went through the trouble of maxing out my warrior sub do you know how many times I was able to get a pt I was in to allow me to use /war for my subjob? ONCE at lv 70 when I finally convinced the pt that "If I'm not pulling vs a mob with no aoe that can be absorbed by shadows and i'm not even the puller what use was there in me having /nin?".

AF2 has always been known as Relic. But because Relic Weapons are also known as Relic it was decided by the community to call Relic Armor as AF2 and Relic Weapons simply as Relic.

actualy, the copies could jump in front of the real you and take the attack, thus making it absolute.

Easiest way of fixing it so that NIN doesnt get boned: Make Ni 38.

Not really, because of this, parrying retains it's normal rate, and 33%/25% to get hit is about the same amount of damage a Paladin would take over time. It still retains usefulness as a tank without being brokenly invincible to a variety of mobs.

Parrying has the same rate whether you have shadows up or not, unlike lolguarding. You don't have to be taking the hits to parry them.

I would never use parrying as an argument for who should tank, either way, though. =/

btw skaw

HASTE WHM TANK! LOLZ GOGO BLINK

wow, make sure you guys let me know when Smn isn't a main healer anymore.

I might actually have fun with that job now :-)
That'll only depend on if their damage doesn't suck anymore for exp, if the damage still isn't worth the MP cost, then I doubt you'll see many invites as a DD job. Spamming DD and support pacts could very well make smn not liked for parties that want to get good chains; but we'll have to wait and see.

I'm surprised noone commented on ABJ drops being added to the expansion.
Any comments?

Looking forward to seeing how they do it, everyone is. Although I'm hoping that it's not going to be something that will trivialize the accomplishments of those who have camped the kings and gotten their abj already; but allowing another way to get them, provided it's not really easy or just throwing gil at something, would be very nice.

Since noone else seems to want to speculate or even thinkup fun/good ways to implement the abj drop lets brainstorm a few fun ways that we know SE won't do.

Have your own poppable fafninr ect for the cost of some ridiculous amount of IS. 20K? 30k?
If the cost of popping an abj NM is extremly high like that then it's almost impossible to get more than once a week unless you happen to be a brd per person. Have the normal drop rates on abj as thier cousin's ect ect maybe lower to keep the abj rare.
I'm using isnm as a template for that because IS is rarely used by many people after the turban and giving a legitimate use for gaining tons of it would be a nice thing.

Give Hydra some Abj, then he might be worth killing.

Interestingly enough, the Hydra pieces of equipment that can be made from drops of the Hydra can be quite useful, if you just think about it...

Hydra Mask = DEF 30 / DEX +1 / AGI +2 / Accuracy +5 / Evasion +5 / Magic Damage Taken -2%
Hydra Mail = DEF 49 / DEX +3 / AGI +3 / Accuracy +9 / Evasion +9 / Physical Damage Taken -3% / Magic Damage Taken -3%
Hydra Finger Gauntlets = DEF 20 / VIT +3 / Accuracy +5 / Attack +3 / Evasion +5 / Magic Damage Taken -2%
Hydra Cuisses = DEF 36 / DEX +2 / VIT +2 / Accuracy +3 / Evasion +3 / Physical Damage Taken -3%
Hydra Greaves = DEF 22 / VIT +2 / AGI +2 / Accuracy +2 / Attack +2 / Evasion +2 / Physical Damage Taken -2%

Totals: DEF 157 / DEX +6 / VIT +7 / AGI +7 / Accuracy +24 / Attack +5 / Evasion +24 / Physical Damage Taken -8% / Magic Damage Taken -7%

From the looks of it, I'd say this is a set to increase the chances of SAM and DRG hitting, therefore allowing for the usage of the higher tier Attack boosting foods (i.e. Yellow Curry, Dragon Steak, Red Curry, etc) without sacrificing to-hit rate. Plus it increases their ability to dodge and/or take hits (a little) when they take hate.

Edit: In regards to the post below about DRG and thinking the set is bad, no piece of equipment that gives stat boosts is bad. It simply must be used properly in order to bring out its full potential. People typically just look for the pieces that are expensive, and have the biggest boosts to make themselves deal more damage.. rather than think of all the possibilities of combat. The DRKs with the Black/Onyx pieces? Due to the increased damage taken, I'm quite sure they take precautions to increase their longevity in battle, in case they are hit - not just fully rely upon the WHM to keep them healed in case the monster decides to throw out a 3+ hit TP move on them. You just have to think before saying something is bad - consider all possibilities, not just dealing more damage. I've been told many times that my equipment choices on my melees are quite good, considering I have a good amount of balance without sacrificing anything (except for a little MND, due to a Spike Necklace). As for what I lack more-so in (i.e. Attack or Accuracy), I make up for it with food (Rice Dumplings are wonderful) thereby increasing my capabilities in all areas.

No one cares about DRG. Seriously. That gear is still crap anyway.

We can get more Acc+ for every slot using other gear.

Judging by the earlier interview, there's a small chance SE might actually be implementing the new king concept from BG (which I'm too lazy to go look up), or at least a modified version.

As for MNK, I got the impression they'd be adding more things like Formless Strikes. MNK can only attack one way, just make it so that attack can work against more things.

And Skaw, haven't you ever watched Naruto or another ninja show with utsusemi? They always always always hit the shadows first. It's a rule for all ninjas, right up there with "Ninjas must be flashy."
