Deus Ex: Human Revolution

One of my most anticipated games in a long while. Just cause I'm damn hopeful cause I love the series so ;3 first is still the best but the second was fun too.

I loved Invisible War.. apparently it was a hit or miss with people (especially those that compared it to its predecessor). Can't wait for the movie :)

Honestly I've never really heard much about this series. I still have no idea what it's about, but this made me curious. Especially after seeing the SE logo at the beginning of the credits. =)

Both Deus Ex and Invisible War were awesome games, I am a big fan of IW where some arent, main reason for me is the game actually made me THINK about the choices I was making, and in some cases I kinda felt bad for being a douche LOL.

IW was fun, but they stripped out so much of the first game's mechanics, or just streamlined them to the point where it lost a lot of what made the original great. That and shared ammunition was a retarded idea.

Holy shit. That trailer was amazing. Those graphics look top notch and the voice acting seemed really good. Not to mention the story is bad ass and I'm sure the game play will be too if its anything like the trailer. Can't wait to see more of this from E3, to bad its not coming till 2011.

Deus Ex is really getting a sequel (or prequel, whatever) it deserves <3 can't wait

I wonder how embarrassed SE is to have a company they bailed out shitting all over XIII visually and in sound... Is what I thought after watching that trailer. I can't wait, but with anything SE involves themselves in, I'm skeptical, very skeptical. I wouldn't doubt this being anything more than a 6 hour FPS at this point.

SE isn't doing anything with development. They're just producing. Eidos is developing everything.

And the only time Deus Ex was 6 hours was for people who want to rush through it. Screwing around and looking around and the first time through it was longer than most FPS at the time.

I'm well aware of that, which is why I said "involved" instead of something like "developing". If it's not evident that he who holds the money runs the show, by now (thanks Activision), we need to lengthen that leash of yours a bit :p

I don't think SE would really tamper with something they've got no history with and risk screwing shit up when they really wanna try and make more of a presence in the west with western style games. So if this gets popular they'll prolly take notes and start working on their own kinda titles. I imagine they are gonna produce and just reap some money from their work. But who knows. I'm not in the development group nor are you so we'll have to wait and see what future interviews claim.

When a company is tryin' to appeal to us, that alone sends up a red flag. Then again, I'm all for preserving the challenge of my hobby, which has all but been done away with, overtime, here in the West.

I'm all down for this game to be great, I really enjoyed the first two games, but the second was so dumb down, compared, I really don't expect much more than the 6 hour FPS we've come to know and love.

You're very pessimistic O.o

Very much so, but only with gaming and only then here in the West. They still make good games, quite often, over in Japan. Do not mistake that for, "I lub JRPGz lulz!!" because that couldn't be further from the case, RPGs are not good -games-. I'm talkin' about things like Mushihimesama, ESPgaluda, DoDonPachi, Street Fighter, etc. Arcade games where quality and challenging are still important.

They released the trailer for this game, and so far its lookin better than most movies out there at the moment. Kinda wish there was some gameplay footage though, since all that was seen were CG sequences. This is also a prequel from the looks of it.

I'm not optimistic myself, I know that, but I'm not THAT pessimistic :P though I can see where Strid come from. I just think he should be a little more hopeful. But, oh well. I just hope this one has all the good from the first (awesome plot, mechanics, environments) and something the first didn't really do so well. Multiplayer :P the first had it, but didn't have it implemented when it shipped and stuff.
